In our living room we have a non-working fireplace and the various fireplace tools on the hearth. I was so tired of having to dust all around those, and I finally persuaded my husband to let me get rid of them. Wow, what a difference it's made! Like a breath of fresh air now that all of them are gone. It only took 13 years, lol. Great video!
When I was younger I decided that I didn’t want to have a dishwasher. We gave it away and I didn’t regret it at all!!! I enjoyed doing the dishes by hand… I get into a zen 🧘 mood and it’s great… plus it takes me just a few minutes too 🥰🌻🙏❤
You talk so much sense. Anything I'm not wearing regularly I've got rid of and it makes it so much easier to get dressed in the morning. Thanks for all your great videos ❤
❤️❤️❤️Omg I laughed when you talked about your Lily Pulitzer clothes because I did exactly the same thing! I’d see the dresses on others and thought they looked so cute so I’d buy them. No matter how many times I tried them on though I just didn’t think they looked good on me. Come to find out, it’s just not my style. I tend to like more neutral clothing so no wonder the bright colors didn’t work for me. I held on to them for years because of how much money I spent on them. Finally one day I just bagged them all up and dropped them off at Goodwill and never looked back. Lesson learned. Sorry to hear it rained for your July 4th. Glad you still had a great day though😊
Yes! One of the best pieces of advice I ever got about clothing was that just because I like clothing on someone doesn’t mean I need it for myself or that I will like it for myself. I can just appreciate it on them and not buy it 😆👏
Bold of you to assume I own a dishwasher LOL. I just feel they are a pretty superfluous appliance that doesn't even save me much time. By the time I rinse off a dish, put it in the dishwasher, and took it out again, I could have just washed it in the sink, dried it off, and put it back in the cupboard.
I have been watching decluttering and minimalism videos for at least a year, if not longer. I am a new subscriber, and I am hearing fresh ideas on your channel. 🙂

Im decluttering as i listen, and watching during my breaks. Its 98 degrees, possibly going into the 100s this weekend. 😳 ill be listening and decluttering in my cool, quiet apt. ❤ thank you for all the great tips, advice and support. ❤
It it!! Took me a while and work on myself. I had to understand why I thought I needed all those clothes ❤️ some steps forward then steps back but I gave myself a lot of grace on the journey and I think it helped and now I am so much more aware of my needs
@@Fatima-qn1kteach dog has their own preference. And dog families have theirs. I used to allow our dogs on the bed for a quick cuddle then they had to get down. They'd always sleep on the carpet next to me. They were not allowed on living room furniture so there'd always be a clean space for guests to sit.

Della, I grind manually, wash my clothes, vessels etc. I love to touch
My mother always told me , never leave a room empty handed.
Love this!!
Thinking of each thing as a “project” is brilliant in deciding what’s worth your time and energy 👍
Thanks so much! Hope it helps ❤️❤️

Spot on about the dishes tip. We don’t have a dishwasher and it really made me take inventory of what I want to keep washing every single day.
Thanks so much ❤️❤️it has really helped me!
I just picked up a few things from my room whilst watching this video and it already feels better!

It was so kind of your little assistant to help you with the blankets.

Yes they do each have one 😊
@@minimalease 🤩
Hi I'm just curious why dog's need them because mine currently don't have them since they wouldn't use them

Aww thanks so much!
pardon for not being so soo tech savy, but what is that screen device in your kitchen at 6:38 and what does it do ?
It’s an Alexa echo show I love it for looking up recipes when I cook 😍
Dishwasher takes less water. Important in drought
If you have a newer one I agree, but ours being over 15 years old I’m not sure that would be true. Thanks for sharing your thoughts ❤️❤️
I don't put my clothes on the floor.
That’s great 👍
