OpenAI just dropped a bunch of example clips of their text-to-video, so lifelike! And it’s doing up to 60 second shots with lots of stable motion! Can’t wait to see your work when the new AI tools are available!
I will have to see how it works. With Midjourney 6 I had to create almost 7000 images to generate this video. This is not a knock on Midjourney. It is amazing. With images at least I get a lot of control between controlling prompts and selecting what I use. I am definitely excited about AI video, but it may be a bit of time before it’s something I can use.
btw that multiple jump cut at 1:52 - Event Horizon perhaps? One of my all time fave movies.Well done!
Well I love obviously Event Horizon (Ex Inferis). That scene probably gave me the idea for it, although I was using the effect for a different purpose. Just doing a cross dissolve didn’t feel like the right way to transition into that other place. The multiple jump cuts created the transition I needed that made it feel slightly disorienting. I wanted the viewer to feel what the person jacking in felt.
I am still refining my concepts of what this cyberpunk universe would be like. My first concept for what that other place wa, is cyberspace. The idea is that all the horrific things were there as safety measures. Another concept was that cyberspace is extremely dangerous. Just the process of connecting is life threatening and of a great risk.
But now the more I think about it, the more I think it could actually be something else. Like it could be a way to connect to a hellish other reality. Or maybe in some sense it could be both? Still contemplating that. :)
OOOOOHHHHH those lovely deep synths - Vangelis would be proud my friend! New territory ( well apart from the Android Uprising feature you did a while back) but rather than stick to a Blade Runner pastiche as so many others do, you have diverged brilliantly into what, for me anyway, a whole new mashup genre of blade runner and Hellraiser which I would never have thought of. Still loving the previous series you created mate but this one is going to be well worth following. Many thanks again for all your hard work buddy!
Thank you for the kind words. Sometimes I feel like I am making the same video over and over, so I like to mix it up every so often. I know when I make another video that is part of an existing series, it isn’t the same, just the process feels the same and it can get a bit tiring to go through the process. I always actually end up liking the end product though.
That being said it definitely hurts my views when I do something new. On the other hand it’s more challenging and more interesting doing something new from my perspective.
I wish I was a director and have enough budget this is definitely the best idea. This is beyond amazing 💎
You never know. Maybe someday a producer out there will pull me in to make a movie based on this concept, or maybe one of the other concepts I have in my other videos.
I definitely want to delve into this world more though. I have a lot more ideas for it.

Xinferis, your video's are something I look forward too now every week, and are a start to my weekend in the best possible way. I especially loved how you managed to age the look of some of the faces in a previous clip. I'm exited to see how AI technology develops but as someone who also uses AI I am aware that it's not just a few text inputs, right first time.. it's a lot of work to eliminate and iterate. I use AI to generate inspiration for robotic designs in a cyberpunk theme, and also for extensive coding. I'll continue to keep a close eye on your channel. Love your work!
Thank you. I appreciate it. I was pretty lucky with the aging effect. I had an idea of how to do it, and it worked way better than expected. It's a shame that the technique can only be used for that exact effect. :)
Soon will get moving ai art like a gif to make new movies!?...
I think it might be a while before I do animated videos. My standards are very high and although a lot of the current tech for AI animation that is available looks good, it has some elements that look pretty iffy too. Like eyes start to do weird things, and the details of the motion often times looks off. Also the current solutions are limited to just a handful of seconds of video. I would need the option to create at least 10 second snippets.
I try to create images that are as close as possible to being indiscernible from reality. So until AI video can do that. I would prefer to create videos from images.
Sora definitely looks interesting though, and seems to solve some of my issues including the ability to create longer videos. When it's released I will have to see if it's affordable enough to use. :)
