That's nothing, I've seen people run around looking exactly like a friendly Engie, that turned out to be an enemy Pyro, that exploded into Medic gibs! This game is so fucking awful I love it! (Disclaimer: I have put over 4000 hours into this game and that is spread over 8 years. This game is my most favorite.)

The coconut.jpeg situation I'm not completely sure of but did you only browse with the file browser or did you use the program "GFCScape" to look in the .vpk files? They handle most of the textures of tf2
no, seriamon, you have to find tf2_textures_dir.vpk in the tf2 steam folder/tf, open it using GCFScape, then go to materials/effects/coconut.vtf, then open THAT using VTFEdit, and then you get the HOLY COCONUT!
