I went up on Monday 4th Sep too 👍 I planned to go up on the Saturday but they were having the annual competition. An hour and a half up and down the winner ran it in, astounding.
Nicely done, one to chalk off the bucket list 👍 I tried in March and could only get to the 2nd zig-zag because of the ice, the loch was frozen over. I went back a fortnight ago and got sunburnt. 😂 Felt good to complete the challenge though.
Me and my daughter had never done a munro and decided to start with the biggest. I made it to just over 900m but my daughter made it tonthe top. The steps were a killer
Did you climb this 3 weeks ago? We must have been climbing around the same time if so! It’s gorgeous walk isn’t it? And I disagree with folk who say it’s “easy”, it certainly isn’t easy. It’s doable. But still a mental challenge if your legs are aching
It definitely isn't easy - Fran proved that to be true! This was actually filmed almost a year ago (late September 2022), I'm just very slow at getting blogs edited due to a busy work schedule!
There are several available on the App Store. The one I have is simply called "Altimeter"! apps.apple.com/gb/app/altimeter-gps-with-barometer/id572227849
Honestly, that was the thing that bothers me the most. I climb a lot with my mates and if one can't go, nobody goes. Furthermore, it is basic rule in mountaineering that you never go alone, specially in this kind of weather. Just not the right thing to do. The only right decision here would be to go back down together and then try again some other time. Just few words of wisdom. Cheers.
@@Simke666 I get what you're saying, but the Ben Nevis tourist route isn't really mountain climbing, it's more of a real long uphill slog, although there are other routes to the summit that are considered mountain climbing
Wrong decision to leave each other - from both sides, that is an absolute no imo. You could try again another day on your own, but you don’t leave someone on the mountain. Fair play for making it to the top,but it would have been sweeter if you’d escorted your wife back down and tried again the next day.
Great filming, gorgeous Australian Shepherd dog. 🐶🏴☀️
Amazing views when out of the cloud!
Fair play to you both. Just done this today in really good condtions so watching your video makes me realise how fortunate ive been. Well done.
Well done! It's been beautiful here in Wales today - perfectly clear skies! Glad you managed to get a view from the top :)

Heading up in a week, thanks for the video.
Good luck! It's certainly a great adventure

Aww what a great couple..shame your partner didn't make it ..least you showed how hard it can be ...its my turn on the 24th ish pending weather 😊
Good luck for your climb! Make sure you're prepared well. I hope your view is better than ours was!
I made it up.. Was hard! Sunny up, cloud on top so couldn't see far and on the way down the heavens opened... Was prepared tho
Which month did you climb? I'm hoping to do it this August. Unpredictable weather?
We did this at the end of September

Whats the app you used to tell you how high up you are in climbing ben nevis?

@@TravelSoGood thank you so much! Will be trying to summit ben nevis next week! 😃
Good luck!
34000 steps?
I like this video a lot. You have captured reality so beautifully.
Thank you so much 😀
I cannot believe you left your mrs to get to the summit. I would never set out with my wife as a team & then leave her!
It wasn't an easy decision. But we have a strong relationship

@@BillSikes. I know, been there this summer. Anyhow, keep up the good videos, and just stay coupled in the future :)
