I wish she debuted this song, it was a better choice for her vocally and shows her actual talent.
The record company probably would not have supported this song because it's not an upbeat song that would attract popular use. Most likely she proposed multiple ideas and the company greenlighted and approved funding for one of them, likely the ones that would generate the most streams, views, and money.

With Leigh-Anne, Perrie and now Jade being active releasing and promoting their new songs, I seriously don’t know how Jesy’s coping. I hope it doesn’t hold her back. She’s been teasing, she just needs to release. Will support no matter what.
I personally don't think she's feeling held back. So much happened and she needs a new start and a genuine label to back her up.
She has said that she's working on music, going to studios but this time she has to clear so many things and stand her ground stronger than before. She'll comeback when she's fully ready and everything is planned out properly. I don't think she'd be intimidated by other members solo. But more like when timing is right for her that's when she'll start releasing amd promoting again.

And there are rumors (idk how true they're) that she'd release music alongside new documentary to explain her side of the story and clear things out. As far as cancellation is considered, people cancel everyone at this point out of toxicity more than actual genuine reason otherwise if cancellation was as good cause as people make it out, the world would have already been a better place knowing how often people get cancelled and still strive.

This is how she should’ve jump started her solo I hope people still support and it gets what it deserves because bridges have been burned with a lot of LM fans 😫 but hopefully she can come back. I hope her album follows this energy
It's extremely unfortunate how things happened and it was NOT Jesy's fault. I think she asked to work with Nicki because she did so before but she had not seen Nicki's awful side. When the IG Live happened, Nicki held too much leverage on the post production payments (to the actors and dancers etc) so Jesy was overwhelmed with thought and did not want to jump in. (Furthermore we just saw recent events involving Nicki.) Sadly people who don't want to consider all the facts slammed doors without full consideration of the facts.
She could’ve come out at anytime saying she did not condone what Nicki said about her ex band mate who was weeks post partum.

Despite the absurd fandoms fights aside, this song is really beautiful musically and lyrically very powerful and honest. You have to admit, Jesy is supremely talented, she can sing, dance, act, write songs, do beat vox, produce, design her own costumes. She is a complete artist and as a lifelong fan of Jesy and Little Mix, I have to say that I am very proud of her despite everything. She doesn't deserve the hate she gets!
