I am trying to use this camera with an HDMI to stream directly to the TV. I have turned off the "auto shut-off" and I can see the image of what I want on the TV however, I can't clear off the menu so that it stops obstructing the view. Any suggestions? Please Help

Hey great video! My videos look super blurry was there an autofocus setting you put on? Also I cleaned the front lens already hahaha I know thats a common answer to blurry footage
This happens on my $1000 sony camera too, autofocus just going to the wrong thing. Sometimes I aim down and back up or put my hand (open like shaking hands) right infront of the real focus area

We use this camera for displaying our club demonstrations on a large screen television. When the image is displayed, all of the menu items that are on the camera's screen also appear on the television. Is there a way to get rid of the menu items that encircle the image on the television? We haven't been able to figure out this bit. Keep in mind that we are a group of senior citizens. I'm certain that if we had any 12yr old members, this would not be an issue. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I hear this comment allot, While it can be used that way its not really meant for public display - more as a 2nd monitor for camera man. I don't believe there is a secret to removing rec etc

My boss is an experienced videographer and got the camera for this exact reason.
We found out that there is no way to take that stuff off.

I switch between modes / settings. It shouldnt be fuzzy. It could be a defective auto focus or something on lens, Is it a new one or ??

You need to trouble shoot 1. test the camera without a mic and see if records audio and video. Then 2. test the mic in another device - laptops work good and under settings has tools for testing mic. then pug the mic in, ensure its a mic in and not a headphone out. It either has to be a defective camera, defective mic or user error.

Yegh, its cheap enough you can place a few of them at different angles for a 2 or 3 camera set up.
How log does it record before it stops recording. I'm looking for something that will record for several hours non stop for college.
I dont believe there is a limit to how long it can record. I know in the USA electronics called a "camera" can only record 30 minutes but this is listed as a "camcorder" Its cheap, I would buy and then return via Amazon return police if it doesn't fit your needs.

Hello - The slot on top will hold a light or Mic but you still need to plug in the mic with a 3.5 cable.

Look at the lens it is so small and the most important thing in camera is ? Lens ! The more your CMOS sensor gets light the more detailed quality of video is.

i have owned this deivce for about 2 Months, and it suddenly won't turn on anymore. My last recording was pretty long at about 2 hours and only ended when the battery ran out. Since then it won't turn on anymore. The charging icon does light up, but there appears to be no power. Any ideas on the issue / fixes?
If purchased new on my Amazon link I would return through Amazon and if beyond that check with maker. Side note Mine is still working good.

I am so overwhelmed. Mine will NOT show up on my Mac. I have a USB adapter but i cant get the videos from the camcorder to the Mac and im about to loose my mind. And nothing has been any help. Can anyone help me PLEASE!
as long as you have a working USB when connected to your computer it will see it as a hard drive. I would start by updating the drivers for the USB port on mac.

I dont think so but it shoots great in low light. Dont take my word for it and please double check the tech specs on AMAZON (see link) as it may.

On the flash drive - you can connect usb or just move the flash memory out of camera and into computer

No matter what camcorder I use I transfer the footage to pc for editing. There is menus for playback, its all in the instruction manual.

This thing sucks! Bought for my 16 yr old grandson and it never worked right. When you hold the power button it shows the welcome screen and goes OFF! Piece of junk. He didn't let me know it didn't work in time so he's without a gift. I'm going Minolta now. This was a piece of junk!
