Kenny kept saying how could anybody not know he was gay. But I didn't. I was only a teenager when Liberace was famous. And I don't know if that had anythng to do with it, but being gay wasn't talked about in those days, the 70's, especially with my parents. So I didn't know any signs to look for with a gay person. Rob Lowe was reaaly good in the movie too.
Dan wasn't the lawyer but the manager. The movie is an eye opener that's for sure. I sure found out things about Liberace I never knew before. Michael was amazing. No wonder he got the emmy. Liberace was 67 when he died. It was horrible what happened to Liberace at the end. I really didn't know he was gay but I was only a teenager when Liberace was really famous. When the tabloids said he was gay I thought they were making it up. They were watching Liberace in Vegas and couldn't believe what a show off he was. But that's how he was. That did turn me off when I saw him in MD. It was a bit too much for me after a while.When they said he was good at playing the piano they weren't kidding. He was amazing! I use to love to watch him playing the piano. The black keys are flats and sharps. They were talking about how fast his fingers were and Liberace said his teacher as a kid would have him play with heavy metal things on his fingers. Then after a while when they were taken off, his fingers would fly all over the keys.
Some people might think I"m a prude, I don't think so. I enjoyed the movie, It really opened my eyes as to the real Liberace. But some of the stuff they said like when Scott was yelling at Liberace for going into that adult viedo store, I had to look uo some of the words. I didn't know what they ment. I'm not gay and I'm just a stright lace person. Some people think Scott made this stuff up or he was just taking refenge on Liberace or Liberace really wasn't like that. But they didn't know the man when he wasn't on TV or on stage and they didn't live with him like Scott did. They say the movie is just like the book. I read the book too. I couldn't belive when Liberace was doing his concert and they were watching and the guy said, so people pay to see this? Yea, they came in handfulls, I mean handfulls. That's why his concerts were always sold out, or mostly. He would always fill up the Vegas Hilton and that's a big show room. But they didn't go just for the piano playing but the costumes and the rings, etc... Liberace was an amazing entertainer and you really got your money's worth when you went to see him and he was a really nice person. But he was also very gay in his private live and he liked a lot of sex with young boys and some people eaither don't believe that or don't want too. And that's their choice. And as nice as Liberace was he could also be controlling.
It's a giant shame this movie didn't get picked up theatrically, it's Oscar worthy easy, but man I can see studios turning it down because as great as it is, it really is super gay lol.

God that movie was the gayest thing ive ever seen. It was actually pretty good, though. But the gay stuff was intense and hard to watch.
I liked their review of the movie but I could do without all the F words.
