Navigation - Overview & Kia Connect Local Search

Kia Connect with Navigation makes it easier to find locations, nearby points of interest, previous destinations, and more. You can also set your home, work and other frequently visited places as Favorites.
From the Infotainment system control panel, select the NAV button…
Let’s start by searching for NEARBY POINTS OF INTEREST.
Select NEARBY POIs …
Then you can choose from:
Gas Stations, Restaurants, ATMs, and many others.
Back on the Navigation Menu screen …
Selecting PREVIOUS DESTINATIONS takes you to a list of your recently visited places.
SAVED PLACES allows you to save your Home, Work, and your other favorite places.
Selecting KIA DEALERSHIPS shows you a list of dealers closest to your current location.
Once you select a location - choose SET AS DESTINATION …
And then START GUIDANCE to begin your route.
On the screen, select this button to change map modes between:
2D Heading Up, which rotates the map depending on the direction of travel.
3D Heading Up, which provides a three-dimensional view of the map.
And 2D North up, which displays the map with north always at the top of the screen.
You can also adjust the volume of the navigation commands …
Selecting plus or minus allows you to zoom in or out …
Or select AUTO to have the navigation system adjust the screen for you.
In SOUND SETTINGS, you can select NAVIGATION VOLUME PRIORITY to have the navigation volume play over whatever music is playing.
On the MAP screen, if you select the MENU button, it opens a pop-up menu that allows you to re-route a destination and view other options:
See nearby info …
Save a destination …
Display traffic info …
And turn off the Display.
When you select NEARBY INFO, you can display POI icons…
From there, you can select which icons you wish to include.
For example, with Gas Stations selected, you can have the system auto-display stations when fuel is low.
Selecting the NEARBY POIS button takes you to the Nearby Points of Interest page.
When you select DISPLAY TRAFFIC INFO, the map will display real-time traffic information.
When you press ROUTE, then select REROUTE, the system will help route you around traffic delays.
From the NAVIGATION MENU, you can select ROUTE OVERVIEW to see a preview of the route.
You can select ADD WAYPOINT, and then edit the route.
Or select ROUTE OPTIONS, which lets you avoid specific roads, or choose which route to take - Fastest, Freeway preference, or Economical.
Kia Connect VOICE LOCAL SEARCH lets you search for locations by using voice commands.
Select the KIA CONNECT button on the mirror or on the overhead console and wait for the beep.
After the beep, say the name of a point of interest or address and route guidance will begin
