I'm currently waiting for my matric results and fortunately, I have acquired conditional offers to study a BSc, this video was for informative thank you so much!!
Doing my second year BSC in molecular and life science (extended program).. but still confused on what to choose on majors and my heart in the other place wants to do optometry 😣😭
@@BlackGirlScientist heyy, love your videos, I got into Bachelor of science (Physics and Mathematics), was wondering if it would be possible to change it to a health science course like pharmacy after a year or something?
When you choose a particular subject as your 'major' you have a lot of courses that focus on that particular subject, thus making you come out at the end of a couple of years well versed in that subject. Whereas if you take a course for a semester it kind of just ends there
I just came here on RUclips to search and came across you vid, I'm from tiktok, they say we must stay away from science because there are no job opportunities at all😩at this point Idk what to do anymore💔
so I have wanted to go into the sciences for a while, but after talking to some professors, they have told me that because STEM is so popular and needed right now, the job field is incredibly competitive and that I might not end up with a good job after graduating if I went into the sciences I'm interested in. Considering the 80% statistic, do you think its still worth it to go on this path?
My cousin is accepted for Bachelor of science majoring in Chemistry and mathematics at UFS , and he doesn’t know what to do with the course , can you explain that
There are many things he can do with that. Academia or in industry. Please check out my "What you can do with a science degree " he can get tips from there. All the best to him for his studies
Hello, can you please make a detailed video about Bio-Mathematics... I am a final year Student in BSc Applied Maths with Electronics... I wanna do my honours next year in applied maths focusing on Bio-Mathematics as part of my research. I wanna know if it is a valuable course for one to consider and what does one do in the field and again how broad it is?
Hi, unfortunately I can't do a detailed video about I major I am not a specialist in. I can only advise in a broad sense. I would suggest you do your own research and speak to other, more experienced people in your field. All the best!
Heyy I'm a a first year student this year and I was admitted to do Bachelor of science.. I actually chose chemistry maths geology and geography.. I wanted to do medicine in the future but I can see that I won't b. I able to because Im not doing biology.... But can anyone tell me wat to do
I am glad you love them! I loved mine too. Remember what's important is the skills you gain and then you can pretty much dabble in a lot of different things
I'm a freshman and I'm doing a Bsc . I want to transfer to medicine and Geology is in my major subjects...will I be able to remove it in my second year ??
Hello I'm an Indian watching your video :) I'm in 10th grade rn and I'm confused about my future career. I was deciding to go for bsc in biotechnology for 4 years and master in biotechnology in Usa/canada Do you think biotechnology will have scope in 2027?
Biomedical engineering Or MLS are similar to biotechnology I'm in the MLT program at My college and I'm thinking about what's next after getting my associate
I actually just want to know which is better: BSc majoring in maths and physics or BSc in IT majoring in physics and computer science? Well I just want to know is it useful to get maths as a major instead of computer science? Is maths vs computer science which is better?
Ohh tricky one. I think computer science is super NB these days but I also love your maths idea. Go with which one you like more and consider your future job prospects
I'd say go for computer science. I have a BSc in Math and Physics and all I can say is you have to really love physics. There may be a lot of math in Comp Science if thats your main interest. Math and physics major is a deadly combo and thats not just me that thinks so.
Greetings hope you're well. biological science and honours you get to choose between zoolgy botany I'm considering zoolgy are they any job opportunities I'm 19 only going to varsity next year

* so informative
Awesome! Congratulations and all the best with your studies
That is CRAZY 80% of future jobs will require a STEM something 🙆🏾♀️
Yup!
I still don't know what I want to study at university this year 🤦🏾
I like this new background.
If only I had found out this information in first year yoh I wouldn't saved myself from so much headache lol
Thanks for the video I am going to check out a library book about the different biology majors so I can make a better specific decision on my major
Why do you have PERFECT teeth?! How do you do that?!
Doing my second year BSC in molecular and life science (extended program).. but still confused on what to choose on majors and my heart in the other place wants to do optometry 😣😭
You can always switch if you plan properly. Don't end up doing something you hate and work toward your goals! All the best
if i choose 2 majors(Maths and Stats )in Science, Is there an option to add courses that are non science as electives
I also love genetics✨ and I'm gonna do stream les too
Yay! All the best!

If a subject is not taken as a major what is the difference between that subject and the “major” of it?

That's not true and I can vouch for that! Just Google scientist jobs and there are many hits. I would advise studying a little further though

Absolutely worth it! Especially the computer, mathematical, statistical and data sciences

You can still do it, you'll just have to start medicine from first year
I wish I had seen this in my first year hey 😂 but we move hey because I love my majors.
I am glad you love them! I loved mine too. Remember what's important is the skills you gain and then you can pretty much dabble in a lot of different things
I'm first to comment 😊

I don't think you can. Usually BSc degrees do not allow you to transfer, you just have to start medicine from first year

University of sol plaatje that I'm referring to
Not too sure about specifically zoology but remember you can do anything with your skills so don't limit yourself when searching for a job.
Cool 😍🤗😎🙂😊😉😘😍
