Yeah I only decided to start doing these videos recently and I will eventually build up to doing more with me talking in them and music in the background. I do quite like the natural sounds too though as that is how it was when I was there. I also hate seeing my old eyes, seeing my ten chins, and hearing my own voice on recordings. I don't really know what I'm doing with it all yet either especially when it comes to background music.
Yeah, it was a fantastic trip and good practice for my up coming second attempt at the West Highland Way in May. I am very much an amateur at this filming malarkey but will hopefully get a little more professional at it. Hopefully start showing my face and voice a bit more, to make them more interesting. Thanks for watching and subscribing, it means a lot to me.
When I arrived at Brotherswater the weather forecast was for winds over 50mph overnight and more heavy rain. I had my MSR Elixir 1 tent with me. The rain it can easily handle and a bit of wind too, but not that much wind unfortunately so I begged them for a bunkhouse. If I had needed to I would have put the tent up next to one of their stone walls on the opposite side of the forecasted winds. In the morning there were trees down in the valley and the winds on the summit of High Hartsop Dodd were some of the strongest I had ever experienced. The strong south westerly winds were funnelled over the Scandale Pass and through the Caiston Valley hitting Brotherswater overnight. I was happily tucked away on a luxurious bunkhouse mattress in my down bag. Though I did have to duct tape the door of the bunkhouse to stop the wind.
Great video mate. Should do some commentary as well about the journey and what you know about the area.

Great trip out for you. Different on the tops. Good luck filming your adventures. New subscriber.
