I think you're parenting correctly if your daughter is suggesting Amon Amarth. I suggest the official video for Raise Your Horns. There are more metal cameos in that video than I can count.
Some recommended songs from them that I haven't seen mentioned in the comments yet: Shield Wall, Deceiver of the Gods, Heidrun, The Serpent's Trail, Death in Fire, Töck’s Taunt - Loke’s Treachery Part II, Destroyer of the Universe, ...And Soon the World Will Cease to Be, Put Your Back into the Oar Amon Amarth is one of the rare bands that I've enjoyed every song they've ever released. I only started listening to them at the beginning of this year and quickly made my way through their entire discography. I also was lucky enough to get to see them live back in August when they opened for Ghost. And, as much as I love Ghost, I think I enjoyed A.A. more that night.
Absolutely up this post, especially Shield Wall is super amazing, also with the video. And their newest song Heidrun that's about the holy goat. It's more a fun video but so amazing.
The Viking culture peaked highest in Sweden with over 3000 thousands of Viking Rune stones still standing out in the Landscape today, and in general a new stone is still discovered a year.
Love this band! Cheers to your daughter and her great music taste! Johan is the only singer in Amon Amarth, The music video is featuring the singer from Entombed though. Other songs worth checking out: Twilight of the Thundergod, Father of the Wolf, The Pursuit of Vikings, The Way of Vikings, First Kill, Raise Your Horns, Fafner's Gold, The Bererker at Stamford Bridge. Another brilliant band singing about vikings is Brothers of Metal. They have 3 vocalists and a great sense of humor.
You picked the two songs with guest singers (Biff Byford from Saxon and Lars-Göran Petrov from Entombed). If you like Amon Amarth, you should check out some of the real early stuff where the guitar riffs were almost like verse melodies themselves, songs like "Bleed for Ancient Gods", "Amon Amarth", or "Last with Pagan Blood"
Lets go Nordic! Greetings from Finland Edit BTW: Nightwish also have LOTR- themed song - Elvenpath from their 1st album. Edit 2: Tuomas has made a full album of Scrooge Mc Duck life. Donald Duck comics are huge here in Finland. He sent his songs to an Don Rosa an US born Comic writer who had made full life story collection of Scrooges life before he got rich.
Amon Amarth fan..but try other viking metal band..and first album of ALL viking theme..from band Bathory album Hammerheart..then you have band TYR...then Finrir ( one man band)..
Official Music Video for "Saxons & Vikings" was released just a couple weeks after you did this video. Here's the link for that: ruclips.net/video/PLzsWa20YIo/видео.htmlsi=U6la6hvD133CMfBy
What a nice dad listening to your daughter!
Yeah, my daughters are awesome.
The other singer on Guardians of Asgaard is Lars Petrov. I believe this was a one-off guest appearance with AA on this song. He passed away in 2021.
Thanks for sharing 👍
You have to react to Twighlight of the thundergod by Amon Amarth
One of the best metal songs ever

They aren't Viking metal. They're melodic death metal.
YES! I saw Amon Amarth with Ghost in August. The Swedes are fucking awesome 🤟🤟🤟
I bet that show was awesome.
Saxons and Vikings now has an amazing music video, you should check it out if you haven't
This band has many bangers. Did you know Sabaton covered a song from them? It´s twilight of the thunder god.
Interesting. I'll have to check that out.
@@TouchyReactions maybe a double reaction for original theme and Sabaton cover?
Rage of Light covert Twilight of the Thundergod. The Singer is Female with amazing growls.
