That's definitely one of them, and I didn't think about this one!
Im also talking about some rare exceptions where we bluff and get called by worse hands while simultaneously getting better hands to fold

river spots srp in btn vs bb with a tight flat range and very low 3bet freq. It checks all the way to river.
i have lots of trouble firing here because pot is so small making bets affordable to call and villain has a easy bluff catch with something as low as ace high. So im not sure if i can have any nluffs here.
If its possible to bluff, ehat board textures are best.

People don't bluff Rivers much because of MUBS - monsters under the bed syndrome. In particular live play and more importantly against fish it's just too often they've somehow hit their hand in an disguised way, and the more aggressive we are playing the more incentivized they are to trap with their suckouts. Conversely, because their ranges are so wide we are less incentivized to bluff very often because many times they don't have anything anyway so we end up bluffing with the best hand regardless.

@jeffshacklefors3152 a recommendation I can give is to recognise players you think would do that & this adjust your range for my value & less bluffs

I mean the idea is that you're getting them to fold JJ on a frontdoor flush A river board because that's a hand they should call bluffs with in that spot. Not as hard as getting AA to fold.

I would agree that saying :"the ultimate river bluffing guide" is kind of pretentious ,and while theoretically we know how sensitive a solver can be when we changue the parameters,in practice is not as easy as to simply go ahead and overbluff everything.
1.We should be aware of how much or how little villain is calling on the turn ,(as you said),if he overfolds the turn, then we shouldn't bet the river because of the lack of fold equity once reached that street. But also,if instead ,the rival overcalls the turn,we shouldn't bluff the turn or at least drecrease our bluffing frecuency a decent amount,so for those reasons we are not betting the river either( bet bet bet line). In summary,we could follow those steps if our rival is activelly trying to be balanced in every street, but slightly failing in the process.Maybe more related to a decent reg.
2.Off coourse it all works with the bet sizing we use and how it correlates with rival's folding frecuency(according to gto or his perception of what our sizing means) ,and that is a key factor.
3.For those playing tournaments,be careful with these overbluff plays because they may not be worth it due to icm implications.

Nice video, but this was definitely NOT a "ULTIMATE River Bluffing Guide". For exemple, you said, "if villain overfolds, bluff everything, if villain overcalls, never bluff" yes, makes sence.. but if we would know this, have this data, we would play perfect otr.. but, we dont have this data.. so.. its a fact, but, we can not use this principle because we dont have data on this. etc..but, thanks.
