Dear human hearts, there it is again, you can hear it right? That deep and artful truth, the grace, that we are worthy of being. Thank you Susanne for reminding us
LYRICS: They say I was a broken woman. They say it was a rainy day. They say it was a mad world out there. Dog eat dog, everything was dying, but that is not what I remember, no. That is not what I remember. It's you, it's you, it's you, Alyosha. It's you, it's you, it's you, Alyosha. You are all that I remember of that day I never even knew you were a man of faith, 'till I heard you whisper it: "They say it's kill or be killed, Love has died and all is worthless, but that is not what I believe in, no. That is not what I believe in It's you, it's you, it's you.” Alyosha. It's you, it's you, it's you, Alyosha. You are all that I believe in, my love. Mm-mm-mm All I want when you are gone is you back in my arms. All I want when you are gone is you back in my arms. Come back to me, oh-oh. Mm-mm-mm. They say I was a broken woman. They say it was a rainy day. They say life's no point, so why bother? Love yourself more than any other, but that is not what I will live for. No, that is not what I will live for. It's you, it's you, it's you, Alyosha. It's you, it's you, it's you, Alyosha. You are all that I will live for, My love. Ooh-ooh-ooh
Susanne Sundfor - what can I say - she is the most exquisite musician. Her voice is the purest I've heard, and her songs deeply affecting. I can't wait for her album to come out, and hopefully for her to tour. I saw her at the Barbican in London and still get goosebumps thinking about it. Extraordinary.
Oh my gosh I was just telling my mum about that Barbican performance in London. We were all so moved by the performance, I didn't realise how collective that experience was, but its clearly stayed with us hasn't it! Xx
Words cannot express how much I have missed hearing new music from you these past years🥺 This song is everything I could've ever asked for, I'm sobbing! 😭 So excited for the full Blómi release in April!!! 🙌
Susanne, please promise us that you won't be away for so long. I am waiting to hear your voice like I was waiting for Christmas when I was a child....!!!😊😍🥰
Hadde alltid musikken din i hodet på vei mellom Haugesund og Bergen. Det noe sakralt over den veien, så som mye av din musikk. Tusen takk for ditt bidrag til det vakre i livet, og ettertanken over det som har vært
This is so... I can't really put words on it, but I know this song has come at an important time in my life, and for my growth as a person. Thankyou so much for sharing this gorgeous, heart-wrenching yet soothing piece of your heart, Susanne. I have followed your music for quite a few years now, and it has comforted me through the very extremes of sorrow and joy. This feels like a song more for the space in between those extremes: a poignant declaration of unconditional love for another being. It makes me feel peace. It's one of the most beautiful expressions of love we have I think; putting someone else before ourselves, simply because we love them. Somewhere along my way, I too have found love. I don't know if it will last, since it is still relatively young, but I feel this so strongly: 'They say "life's no point, so why bother? Love yourself more than any other"; But that is not what I will live for.' There has been this huge movement of self-love across today's generation that, like with most movements of thought in human history, has established itself by first placing other forms of love as lower compared to love of the self. Not to say self-love is not a wonderful and beautiful thing. But this action of lowering other things in order to be accepted (creating a hierarchy) is something we do too often as a species. In order to revere one thing, we smother or topple something else that's similar or may be a threat to it. As if there is not room for both! or even several shapes for love to take. You have voiced this, Susanne. You have proudly stood against the current and stood true to your heart. I admire that a lot. And it's exactly what I have been needing to hear since I fell so deeply in love with my significant other. That it's okay to want to give them the world, to wish to give them everything you could possibly give them that could make them happy. It doesn't mean I'm giving up my autonomy as a person. It doesn't mean I am not loving myself. If we can love anything enough to do such things, then that is wonderful. By itself. Whether this love is for yourself or another being shouldn't matter. Love itself is what matters. It's one of the few things for which a huge proportion of us choose to exist. And with every human, it will take its own form. Thank you, once again Susanne! For making your own stand for this form of love. Sending love to you and your dear ones from Ireland 🍀
Literally ugly crying my eyes out so much right now. Happy, grateful, in love tears. My favourite artist in the entire world, I love you so much, you have no idea.
If these two singles have anything to say about it, AOTY is on its way. Music for People in Trouble has meant a lot to me for so many years, and I have a feeling this one will do the same!
Susanne blew me away on Röyksopp's trilogy, and she just ended up in Fantano's best tracks of the week after the most recent New Music Friday. I can't wait for the album!
Sundfør wrote Blómi (new album out 28.4) above all as a love letter to her young daughter - a letter to a precious new life on its way into an unstable world. In the title track, which is based on a lush, driving piano arrangement and skin-tickling saxophones, Susanne conveys her wisdom to her daughter, and encourages her to take the words with her through life. In her lyrics, with hints of Norse language and mythology, Susanne refers to Nordic indigenous women-based cultures that built matrilineal societies and worshiped feminine deities. These roots, this repeated handing down from mother to child, are the core of the music at Blómi.
Sincèrement, la voix la plus pure que j'ai entendu et qui m'offre régulièrement de magnifiques émotions, sans oublier la partie instrumentale qui est parfaite. Je vous adore Susanne Sundfør =)
One of the to be counted on the fingers of one hand women whom can bring me to instant tears with their voice. And she sure did again.. Oh Susanne.. ( happens to be my name too ;) you are an amazing ray of light. 🌞🧡
It's a special talent who can create music that envelopes you and transports you to a different time or place. Audio odysseys are Susanne's speciality.
I first found out about you through your collaborations with "the Mushrooms" (Röyksopp), but you are so much more than that. A true genius, your artistry is sublime, love from Australia

Is Alyosha the name of her daughter ?
@@user-xk5ms9fo1z i'm not sure , i haven't seen her name been mentioned whether it is in norwegian newspapers or magazines
@@leod2408 The name comes from the novel "The Brothers Karamazov", in which the protagonist is called "Alyosha".
