Thanks for thr video, i've literally tried everything other than cleaning the carb (full service, new plug, blade, air filter and lastly 99 ron petrol) . I have even fitted a new copycat carb but it also does the surging, so frustrating. My old briggs classic starts first time, everytime and I rarely service the thing!!

Great stuff, does the air filter still need to be washed and when dry oiled like on the older mowers ? Many thanks.

Yes mate, same as any sponge filter. Clean and then a light coating of oil. Apologies I should have mentioned that 👍🏼😁

When I used to trade in them it was always the case but I've never worked on these plastic carb type. I thought maybe they had done away with it, I guess the plastic is so much cheaper than a metal carb but do they last like the old ones I wonder. Many thanks.@@TurnersWorkshop97

That’s the standard engine for the mower I believe, quite big for a small deck 😂

The pipe with o ring next to pilot jet does it have a hole in, or is it completely closed please

They run so lean for efficiency it might be worth opening up the main jet slightly. Failing that a replacement main jet assembly isn’t too expensive.
