I wonder what Daiwa is gonna show at ICAST23 this year. This lineup in Australia is INSANE!
My favourite leader to braid knot is the PR knot runs through the guides like a beaut has good stretch and is really strong
I'm very jealous of the fishing folks in Australia. For a guy like me from Canada, I wish Daiwa USA would have more varieties of spinning reels like you guys have.
Exactly my thoughts also 🤷♂️😂😂😂 Why does Daiwa USA skimp 🤷♂️🤦♂️ on new products every yr (i.e - Icast 2022) (What maybe 3 or or 4 New Reels and Rods, Procyon MQ, Coastal 80, Tatula XT Etc) when Daiwa Australia seems to put out a lot more better High-End Gear 👍🏻 from what I can see here I just don't understand this why here in the USA Daiwa leaves us out of all the good stuff! 🤔🤷♂️🤦♂️😂😂😂.....You guys are really lucky here! 👍🏻
@@joed2497 The sub $100 spinning reels in USA/CANADA haven got an update for 2 years... except for the Zaion V Legalis. I'm starting to buy new Daiwa models from Japan or China.
In awe of your stand guys. Since I’ve been using the FG knot it has not let me down once and travels though the guides with ease.
Amazing stand this year team. Credit to all the hard work over the last week. It's been a big effort by all!
Great to see the new realise Daiwa. Might have to save up and fly up there for a big haul. Fire range you guys have🔥👏
The cross link FC looks amazing! I live Forster now, and fishing everything from the flats to the racks and in between! I do like to tie FG knots for my fluoro, braid connection when I'm setting up the night before, but in the boat it's a slim beauty everytime!
I love the FG knot, used to be the Albright but finding the slimmer fg knot perfect with the light line and those microguides
As for my favourite braid to leader connection knot... honestly, I absolutely love the Melville Island Special, fast, strong and super slim which makes it flow through the guides really nicely 👌
My go to and most confident braid to leader knot from kingfish to bream would be the FG Knot- 10 alternating FG, 10 half hitches and a 5 wind rizutto finish.
I use different line-leader knots for different situations. FG for rigging up at home on anything over 4lb leader, Alberto knot for 4lb and under and a 5 turn surgeon knot if I’m retying in strong wind, or if I have cold wet hands on the kayak. I also like a surgeons knot if there is very little difference in my leader and braid diameter, 6lb braid to 2lb leader, the braid doesn’t bite in very well with the Alberto and the leader can slip right through.
Great job introducing all the new range Tommy
I'd love to be able to stock up on the 22 TD Battler and going to FNQ to put it through its paces. Thanks for giving us a peek at what's coming 😁
With the new Maverick BG I would either chase some long tail tuna or Spanish
I’ve been a shimano man all my life but the new daiwa exist & battler rods have made me a convert.I’ve gotta have them
My favourite knot when I’m using j braid and fc would be a simplified fg knot as I could never get a perfect fg knot so I was taught another method
I absolutely love the FG connection line to leader. It goes really smoothly through small guides and is super strong.
The new J-Thread x link looks so sick. my favourite line to leader knot would have to be the FG, Briggsy has taught me well😃
Really looking forward to seeing the new Daiwa products at my local tackle stores really soon. I’d love to take one of those new Battler rods to a Queensland impoundment to catch and experience my first ever barramundi. Thank you Tom, for the really informative rundown of your products.
My favourite line to leader knot is the FG knot. It easily flies through the rod guides and it is so strong and reliable. Congratulation on the wonderful range of gear - it all looks beautiful.
After heaps and heaps of practice ive finally perfected the fg knot to make it more time efficient, so its all i use now connecting braid to leader
My favourite braid to leader knots are dependant on the line class I am fishing. Slim beauty for the light tackle and an FG for heavy tackle fishing. In saying that, I used the slim beauty across all line classes for a number of years and never had any issues.
I absolutely love the FG with resutto finish it goes really smoothly through small guides and is super strong
Can’t beat the FG knot for line to leader connection, my favourite for sure!
The Maverick MQ looks amazing! I'd love to get onto my first ever kingfish from my kayak with one!
That black and red on that maverick mq looks insane and I’d love to use one to capture a larger sized kingfish at home which I haven’t done before and I would love to use that new fc leader with it!
My favourite braid to Fluro connection is the FG. Solid as a rock while forgiving on rod guides.
FG knot is my go to for a line to leader knot - takes time to learn, but well worth it once mastered!
Love the idea behind the X-Link Fluro Leader. I use an FG knot to tie all my leaders. Very excited to get my hands on the new X-Link leader line. I’ve always depended on J Thread Fluro leader. Tried other leaders but nothing comes close to its knot strength.
The Maverick MQ would be a great addition to use on special occasions and baby it in my bedroom cupboard displaying my reels, never know may take over the Penn Slammer and Shimano range forever.
The new TD Battler looks best fishing rod that I’ve seen before. It’s dream fishing rod. Honestly I’ll be very happy fishing this Battler rod in my local areas Botany and Cooks river. I very happy with Daiwa many years. Thanks Daiwa staff for every year brings to Australia 🇦🇺 amazing products.
Once again Great Stuff you guys put out there at Daiwa Australia for (22/2023) 👍🏻 As it really seems like so much more High-End Gear, (Reels, Rods, Etc) then we get here from Daiwa USA you guys are very lucky! 👍🏻
I would love to catch Kingfish with the Maverick MQ 8000, looks solid. Great stuff Daiwa 👍🏼
My dream location is Grand Lake COLORADO to use the TD battler fishing rod. Another amazing video; thanks Daiwa
Just started fishing offshore with dad up here in Mackay, starting to get the hang of it with nice nannies and trout now!
Chasing GT's on the barrier reef. Well done cant wait to try some of the new lures.
Main line to leader knot is a FG for me. It was the first leader knot I learnt and hasn’t failed me so I figure don’t fix was isn’t broken 😊👍🏼
Got back into fishing lately and switching to lures and been having some promising results with my new daiwa reel and rod!
I'm like a little kid in a candy shop. 2 months from retirement 18 months away from the big lap. last 10 years to busy to scratch myself. bucket list Kingies, spanish mackeral, eatable size yellow fin, Barra and a Jew fish hopefully they come before I kick the bucket lol. oh well back to watch the vid again. cheers.
Great video guys so keen to see everyone’s new releases this year, my favourite braid to leader knot is for sure the ole faithful FG knot 👌🤙🏼
And can't wait to see the battlers, still run one of the old fighting falcon with me zillion, super stoked to see the upgrades on something that was already amazing!!
Favourite line to leader knot is the FG. Its micro-guide friendly :) + so satisfying
I can not say enough for the 95 double clutch (DC) so far I have caught 14 different species from Grinners to Tailor and Cod to Flathead, Bream, Longtom, Pike and many more !!! Amazing lures especially in the Ghost pearl. Keep up the good work ! ❤️
Fg knot for the line to leader. It’s a good knot but can take a bit of practicing to get right
Well done on covering everything. Very informative 👌🏻👍🏻
1hr of content what a lunch break!
love my fg's find they work really well with my td black found it hard tie at first but got better and better over time
The new battlers colours are simple yet gorgeous, if I had to pick one place to take a new rod it would be to Arnhem Land to chase some big flattys or barras
Always loved the slim beauty growing up cause it was easier than dads double uni. Now I've learned the fg for heavier leaders but still go slim beauty for my lighter outfits
Favourite braid to leader connection is the fg knot. But for light line I also use my own version of the slim beauty
The new Td battler looks insane I love my local bream and squid fishing and the reel would fit perfect with my new rod 🤟
Spend a lot of time wading flats chasing whiting across the summer months up and down NSW's coastline. The longbow would be a nice addition to the outfit.
Love the look of the new D boxes .. well done Tom … the new Infeet look awesome 😎
The TD battler rod looks like an amazing addition to northern qld trips for Barra in remote indegenous community on Pormpuraaw. Would love to chase Barra jacks and thredfin on these rods!
My wallet will be screaming but my face smiling. Some epic new additions to the various ranges 😍🔥
I would love to use the Maverick MQ when shore jigging for Kingfish off the rocks. What an absolute weapon of a reel!
Favourite joiner knot has to be fg knot
Wow all this new gear is awesome. Especially the Maverick MQ can see me fighting a massive GT with all that power in that reel, turns the odds of landing that bad boy in my favour.
I'd love to have a Maverick MQ for casting lures for Kingfish and School Tuna.
For the Maverick MQ it would have to be big topwater kingfish. For the TD Battler it would have to be in the Cape York area and for the J-Thread FC X-Link my favourite braid to mono knot would have to be the FG it is quite quick once you know how to tie it, strong as nails, and comes out the eyes so smoothly.
Hi guys, great stand you’ve set up. Those TD Battlers look awesome and would be a wonderful addition for our Fitzroy and Rocky trip in October. Simmo
just purchased new diawa exist 4000.. I just love its simplicity and practicality and can't wait to get it loaded up.. 🐟
The Maverick MQ would be killer on GTs I reckon! A reel that looks that good deserves to be used to reel in some killer GTs.
My favourite line to leader knot connection is an FG knot for 20lb and above leaders. If I'm fishing lightweight, I like to use an albright/crazy alberto knot.
Big snapper on the Maverick reel - looks great. Also loving the presso range as a trout man.
I really like the improved Albright knot when you need something quick and easy to connect braid and leader
I prefer the crazy alberto knot. insane release guys!
Love the new Maverick MQ! Perfect for catch Kings off the rocks!
Soo keen to see those Jig heads in person!!
My favourite leader knot has got to be the FG with a rizzuto finish. Can not go wrong, it was the first line to leader knot i learnt when using braided line for the first time and have never had any issues what so ever.
My favourite main line to leader line knot is the fg knot because of how slim the knot is🤙
Staring at save up for the TD zero now. I hope it will be in my hands by December. 🤫
I have been waiting for a good quality leader for some time and the all new X-Link FC is here. The FG knot is the only knot I tie for braid to leader.
The TD battler looks pretty awesome! I'd be pretty keen on a swim bait rod to start throwing some big lures at the big girls at Forster! Looks the goods!
I use an FG knot for my braid to leader connection. Cant wait to get my hands on the new J Thread FC X-Link leader to see how well the J Braid Bites in for strength. Curious to see how much more abrasion resistant it is also.
The Maverick MQ looks Like an absolute Beast of a reel.
I would love to catch some big salmon, tunna of the rocks and harbour fishing with the Maverick MQ
FG knot is my favorite when I can tie them the night before!
those battlers look insane! would love the direwolf to use up at Lostock dam and smack bass with it
The fg knot is by far my favorite, it’s a bit of a hassle tying it but it is very strong and casts far
I love the FG knot braid to leader. JThread is great.
The maverick is screaming for a long tail of the stones!! That would be an amazing fight and would love to do it! 🙌
FG knot is my go to, never fails
Murray cod. Big swimbait & surface lures. Thanks
Do a lot of shore fishing as it's expensive to fish from boats. The Maverick MQ would be perfect for the kingys i love fighting with! Daiwa ROCKS!
I usually use an fg but if I’m in a rush or just going for a quick flick i just use a double uni when I’m using light gear
thx Daiwa for the new product review. new Battler, its been awhile for an upgrade. now the Battler has 2 swimbait rods which has my full attention. was hoping for a 22 upgrade on the Tatula rods, maybe next year.
Daiwa still changing the game and I love it ,best lures, rods, reels and soft plastics are really good compared to others ,love to get some of the new stuff and smash every species near me ,fg knot would be the best out there by a mile, love to use the maverick to get everything from Jew to kings in the deep and even use it for luderick on the rocks
My favourite knot to connect my leader is the FG knot it's the strongest knot I've found so far and doesn't take a long time to tie
The Maverick MQ Would be a Magnificant Reel to have for my local Kings and throwing a stick bait at Yellow Fin & Blue Fin Tuna .
I like using a double uni knot to connect my leader to main line. I just find it quicker and easy and gives me more time fishing
Seems like the new Daiwa J Thread Cross Link will be an improvement. My choice of Knot to join braid to either mono or fluro is The GT Knot, easy to make and a very small knot.
Would love to chase some mulloway off the beach in Sa, salt creek
Love the work fellas!
Have always loved the TD Battler and these look like the best yet. Dream spot to take these would be chasing big snapper and kings in NZ on the larger bait Junkie soft plastics..
The Maverick MQ is probably my favourite looking real coming from the new lineup and to be honest from the whole Daiwa collection. Winning one of these would be a dream come true and would unlock my dream for heavy land based fishing up north for the stonker GTs!!
The Maverick MQ would be awesome for throwing stickbaits across the reef flats in NQ for big GT's, Coral Trout.
My favourite knot is the FG. I use if from bream to Barra and PNG Black bass
Excellent work Tommy
Definitely to be able to fish for those big breams around Gippsland with one of the new Daiwa Battler rods would be a dream!
