@@TrainGuru iwas there the day this happened ,,it was one awesome sound hearing that steam engine unleash it's power , i have been close to 4014 several times since it was restored and it's an absolute marvel to see in operation
I would also like to point out that the 4014 did experience some wheel slip while pushing the other train. considering Big Boy don't slip, that train was HEAVY. I still want to see the Big Boy pull 143 container cars (or more) by himself
This is my favorite part of 4014's 2023 excursion, because in fact: I portrayed 4014 as Edward (my favorite Thomas character) four to five years before this scene occurred (though I portrayed Daylight 4449 as Gordon). Notthern 844 as Henry (Super Rescue) Big Boy 4014 as Edward (Edward being old, weak, and slow while 4014 being large, heavy, and expensive, but both proved to be useful)
Shoving a train is one thing... but nothing will ever compare to 3985 hauling 143 loaded wellcars up archer hill by herself.

Who would've thought 26 years after 844 rescued a freight 4014 would've done the same?
I think it's safe to say that 4014 had a much easier time pushing the freight train than 844 did!

From what I’ve heard, the 2nd locomotive of the freight train that 4014 pushed was dead, hence why the freight train stalled.
Man these 2 were REALLY trying to reenact what Edward did when he had to push Gordon up the hill multiple times
