    It's at those 'defining' moments you find out just how well run an organisation really is. How deep their procedures and training are and ultimately the quality of their personnel. Absolutely gutted for you all, none more so than Andy who's entire Christmas was wiped off the planet. 🤞 you get satisfaction and are able to have a late Christmas when Andy has recovered.

    This Video Was Definitely Warranted. Sounds Like Forest Holidays Have Done a Complete 180 Change. Best Recommendation Dont Return There, Keep Chasing That Refund, Take Legal Action as a Last Resort If You Have Too. Hope You Find Happiness Somewhere Else Where You Get Customer Service.     Head's up folks they are back at Forest Holidays in Sherwood again right now. I'm hoping they have a much better time than they did this time last year. Hopefully a new and improved vlog on it too would be nice to see the difference. Want the chapman family to have a positive Christmas this time

    I hope this goes viral and you can get a community going of all the people that had to deal with this, and then they have no choice but to listen... especially considering it was Christmas with the weather warning and they had what seems like no consideration for the fact that you were with disabled people, if this was me id boost this video...

    Do they have a disability/accessibility manager? The way they handled the whole trip wasn't very disability or neurodivergent friendly at all. This is a terrible advert for Forest Holidays as a company, lets hope this gets big views.

    To a lot of people these things are small annoying things that can be overlooked or excused but to Andy they are huge things that he just cannot cope with. I’m sorry things happened like they did.

    We used to go to Forest Holidays about 14 years ago and would visit at least once a year......the last time we went about 5 years ago it wasn't great. It's a very expensive break and they seem to have gone downhill sadly. 😢

    What a shame, it's always horrible when things go wrong when you are away, but even worse over the Xmas period. You had a bit of a nightmare. Hope you get some appropriate reimbursement.

    We had this exact same problem with forest holidays. I was woken up by the power cut and we waited hours for the problem to be fixed. The staff in the end told us we had to leave. Awful company. Will never be using them again

      Maybe Amy And Lucy since they are at College for School and they are going to Universal Studios maybe to do some Last Minute Christmas Shopping the girls will probably be here at Home to hang out with you guys with Anna’ Kevin’ Shorts-Stay’ Andy’ and Dave later Tonight sometime.

    Standard way things are being handled this year - no contact and understaffed. Awful situation - hopefully they'll contact back soon. Get it on head office and understand their complaints process.

    Curious if there is a follow-up. Did they ever make things right? I plan on visiting the UK in 2026 and love seeing your videos on where you've stayed to get ideas on where to stay. If they didn't make things right obviously wouldn't want to stay there myself.

    What makes it so much worse is that Andy doesn't really do more to the activities when it comes to this holiday but the one activity you went out of the way to make sure he can have they messed it up and didn't do anything about it It sounds terrible and 20% refund is not enough for having to leave a whole day early like if you have your kids leave a whole day early You should refund the whole day that they're not there for it's not just let me give you 20% you refund a whole day and second the amount a problems that they have with astronomical it's like you guys just had really bad luck or something I really hope you guys can do something to replace this terrible holiday

    What an absolute cock up from start to finish. Extremely expensive and I'd imagine if everything went well then it would have been worth it. What make it worse is it was Christmas time. I felt so sorry for Andy and the pressure for you guys.
    Hat off to you cooking Christmas dinner in a kitchen like that, I couldn't do it.
    I feel you should be looking at 50% refund and pls try to push for that.

    Sorry to hear trip wasn’t great noting price but acknowledging the weather issues they should be better in terms of business continuity planning/emergency response with back up power to reception area etc. I won’t be staying at Forest Holidays. Best wishes with compensation etc

    Such a shame the holiday went how it did, Feel for Kev, Anna and Shortstay. But especially Andy as he can’t just can’t do waiting, You would have thought they would would have had more than one set of Snowman and SnowDog stuff, the activities maybe it was due to the storm and they rejigged stuff, seems poor they weren’t storm prepared, as in the camp, as warnings are done well in advance, hope it doesn’t put them off going again,

    You should get some money back for the hot tub not working depending on what the terms and conditions are (that you agreed too when you booked it), the takeaway you should get a partial refund but your own food, they probably won’t give you anything back for.

    I wouldn't argue either if I was in your position but it isn't fair, hope many people get to see this video and more people who have had problems come out with their stories. its not fair for company to treat their customers like this especially as it cost lots of money

      I’ll be happy with a full refund of the trip. The lost groceries are an example of why we should get that. There was no way to bring them home, so if we hadn’t been evacuated, we wouldn’t have lost them.

    Christmas carnage..gutted for you and your family Kevin . What a nightmare...fingers crossed you get at least half your money back but I would push for a full refund. Mention everything, afternoon tea mistakes power cut, shopping wasted afternoon tea that you took back to cabin also wasted,hot tub failure on first night..bombard them with relentless calls and emails about the entirety of it remind them how much you spent and have spent In total on all your visits there..put figures in emails tell them it's the last time you will visit.. explain how it ruined your meals to eat without all the family you went with..don't hold back and I am convinced you will get it all back..tell them you've posted about it on your RUclips channel too..fingers crossed for you mate 🤞

    I would write a formal complaint and provided it doesn’t go anywhere go through ombudsman. It’s too expensive to have an experience like that.
