Absolutely love a caravan holiday! Something so nostalgic and warm feeling about them. I’ve spent so much money on fancy lodges over the years and last year we went on our first caravan holiday as adults and had just as much fun for less than half the price! And they’re almost always by the sea so there’s always something to do! Great video as usual!
In my opinion, the best value caravan holidays are either Haven or Parkdean - I would usually go with Parkdean - The caravans are always clean, their entertainment centre js great with loads of activities.
Thanks for your video. Being too tight to pay £300+ for three days in a caravan ☺we often take the tents out of season and still have a nice time. Skegness camping fees are around £20 for a good site. Interesting what you said about Three UK in the video - and you nailed it. On a much better network we save loads on mobile ISP costs - and that's with a throwaway PAYG sim.
Me and hubby have stayed in a few caravans over the years. A lot nicer than years ago. We bring food we need with us and just buy fresh when we get here. Also some caravan parks do have Wi-Fi.
Great vlog my first time commenting, Parkdean and Haven allow dogs we take ours every year aslong as you stay in a dog friendly van , you can get some really good deals too
Did statics when the kids were young ( wouldn't fly now they are older especially things like no WiFi) and loved it! Great value even if they weren't in the best places. Norfolk is my nearest coastal area, Hunstanton, Skegness etc. But it's unfortunately not a patch on Cornwall, Devon etc. Nice for a weekend by the sea, but more than that it is pretty boring.
You should try great Yarmouth. And stay at seashore holiday park. Very big big caravan park 5 minutes away and your on the beach and sea fantastic place great Yarmouth is
Skegness gets a bad rep but for a young family it hits the spot for decent time away. Most seaside towns have run down areas because they just don't get the funds given to them.
We like Skegness, but and suck going on holiday now because of our dog. Thank you for doing this video. We could take the dog. Is there lots of parking when u get to town?
when i was at the haven park (formerlly the richmond park) i took my 3 mobile router, and the connection i got was absolutely phenominal. crazy what a difference a mile or so makes between caravan parks not gonna lie.
Hi kevin and fam we were brought up on skeggy and loved it. So long as ya not a snob and expect st tropez yr holiday is what you make it. We always went with all the family sisters brothers their kids and friends. To this day my husband and l still have a week away in my brothers caravan real luxury verrandah washing mashine etc however we do enjoy a different hol as well. We love a cruise but skeggy is alays in my heart and soul, you make it what you want enjoy my friend !!!!!!!
really love how you've turned fully into a travel channel! i'm glad you didn't stop vlogging as i love keeping up with you shenanigans, but i'm also glad you're vlogging doing stuff you love!
Hi Kevin that's looks amazing done caravan holidays before myself and that's looking good very practical you can get in some places a bath or wet room and things for special needs such as autism but I'm not 100% sure who does that myself maybe something in the future you can maybe look into as far as a bathroom goes for andy, enjoy videos are always good from you look forward to future videos
I love ❤️ a caravan holiday I’ve been going to north wales for years…I went as a kid in the 70s and I took my own kids in the 90s and now my kids are grown up and left home me and hubby still go in a caravan for short breaks i love ❤️ towyn In north wales 🏴 and going out for the day to Llandudno we also go to Rhyl and Prestatyn we love ❤️ it I actually prefer a caravan holiday then staying in a hotel
Me and the muissus took the young un for a caravan holiday last month and we was as surprised as you mate. We’d never booked a static caravan before and thought it would be bog standard but ours was pretty much the same as yours by the looks of it barring the full size fridge freezer. It was a saver caravan too which made us skeptical but turned out to be really nice!
Saver caravans are Havens basic model. Next step is Bronze , Silver, Gold and finally the range topping Signature models. Haven let you take your dogs to the first 3 models. Which means with my dogs , I go for the Silver model as I like the veranda and large patio doors, which are a godsend on very hot days. Some of the Silvers also have a full en suite in the master bedroom . The least you will get is a toilet and sink in the en suite. Just had 5 days at Havens Marton Mere site near Blackpool. Skegness is booked for April next year in another Silver model.
@@gazza9463 They’re not a bad holiday firm really are they. We’d opted for the saver just cause we planned on just sort of staying on the night in the caravan and going on little adventures throughout the days we had there. We’d noticed you could bring your dogs too when we’d got there and was gutted we didn’t although like you said a silver or something would have been more practical for bringing dogs and stuff. We wouldn’t have had space really for our 2 in the one we got but if we go again I rekon we’d pay a little more for the space to do so. But yeah we’d definitely go again like! Ours was primrose valley up near Filey and just down the road from Scarborough so there was plenty to do if you don’t fancy staying at the caravan site for the full trip
We did the same as another commt brought certain food bought fresh on the way we also had dogs with us brought dog food we stopped on the way to our caravan and got fresh stuff great times saves a fourtune if you put stuff away each week and take it with you what you dont use you bring back fresh stuff you can give to another carvan whose staying longer
If you don't know Primrose Valley, Filey, then do give it a visit...a Haven site. Many caravans....2nd largest site in UK. but many in small groups so nice and intimate. I paid £59 for 4 days in early Oct this year. Oh...and I got free WiFi in the caravan.
You can pay for Wi-Fi at reception which is run by coastfields and the reason why you check out like that is because they are privately owned caravans the site only rents them with the owners permission not the other way around
we have just bought a static in somerset our van looks a lot larger than the one you are staying in the master bed room has a king sized bed as a double is too small for us it only has one bathroom but its of a good size there is a shop on sight as well as amusement arcade indoor and out door bar restaurant and a fish + chip shop also an indoor pool

£325 is not bad at all. Iam staying in Houlgate Normandy on saturday (9th September 2023) we paid £600 for 13 nights. but add on the cost of the eurotunel or ferry. Great Review Kevin 🙂 Hi Anna And Andy
🤣 the van situation reminds me I went on holiday beginning of month and found their hoover wasn’t working so I brought a hand held hoover to take back home and I left it there
I hate to say this since it was where my gran had her bungalow and I have happy memories from there but Skipsea would probably be the worst seaside town, since most of it fell into the sea! great video BTW regards from Sydney Australia. 🦘 now there's a challenge for you!!! 🤣
It’s 4am your vid popped up. I’m a few mins in will watch rest later. Is Andy ASD? I am 53 with ASD have an ASD daughter and son is also (undiagnosed) potentially ASD too. I’ll finish watching later.
Oh this brings back memories! Me and my family used to once a year go to a Haven park, and stay in a caravan that we rented. Usually they had a wrap around veranda (balcony) and was a 3 bedroom platinum caravan, bassically the nicest onces you could get. We would usually stay from Mon-Fri, but sometimes we did do a full 7 day week that would be really unhealthy for me having a Burger Kind every single night... Yes, I'm not joking but I guess it was alright as I loved doing the party dances in the showbar afterwards anyways.
I’ve stayed in loads of caravan parks as a kid but not as many these days but I did stay in one in Blackpool earlier on in the year. Nice vlog and review Kevin!
Check out process has put me off! Sounds like a long wait to get off home if cleaners are all contacted at same time? Enjoyed your video though feels like I've been on a mini break with you😂
We're staying on a Haven park next week and it's a lot cheaper than this trip. Probably because we booked it a little earlier in advance and it's not in the school holidays
We love Haven caravans but we get the wheelchair accessible ones and they are so good now with everything you could ever need. Great video and I’m definitely with Andy and his bingo! The donkeys at Skeggy are the ones that are on the TV programme.
Hey Kev, another great video lovely to see you all together I have never been to Skegness before looks really good. I do love a caravan holiday we go to haven church farm which is our local one. Rain is a nightmare for my lad too char ❤❤❤
Skeg is OK for families that don't expect much, nice beach . Beware if you smoke, there are environmental officers who patrol, their main targets are smokers who drop butt's, I was caught on camera and fined...£80 .
