The Beatles version is of course really romantic, but it sounds more energetic and optimistic, but this cover, my god, it’s so soft and slow and it sounds so sad, and it just hits me right in the feels

Not bad, I think the point of covering a song is to make it your own and that's what they did. Yes it's slow, but I think it puts a nice touch on the song, regardless, there will never be another band like the Beatles, but the Arctic Monkeys are still an amazing band. I think they did a nice job on this one!
