- Monte Montgomery performs "First and Repair" live at Sweetwater! Monte was named one of the "Top 50 All-time Greatest Guitar Players" by Guitar Player magazine, and is a remarkable artist, songwriter, singer, and guitar player. This performance was part of a special workshop held March 27, 2012, presented by Trace Elliot and Budda amplification and held in the state-of-the-art Sweetwater Performance Theatre in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Monte plays through Trace Elliot acoustic amplifiers and Budda electric guitar amplifiers, which are the amps he tours with and depends on night after night. ive seen him 3 times, there was 20 people there,, 15 were guitar players.. with their mouth open...
Always have loved this CD. Sorting through all my stuff (1000 CD) while putting songs into digital to transfer to an Ipod, my eyes were re-opened to it. Awesome as usual, but I would think a performance at Sweetwater would have better sound quality/mixing...
David Piggott is a bass monster! Phil Bass is one of the best drummers I know,I always see drummers studying Phil at the shows.
I know Chris Maresh is a beast, but David Piggot has always been my favorite Monte bassist.
