One of the most famous examples of a roulette streak was recorded at the Casino Monte Carlo in Monaco. In 1913, the roulette wheel reportedly landed on black 26 times in a row. This event is often referred to as “The Monte Carlo Fallacy” because it led many gamblers to incorrectly assume that the wheel was “due” to land on red, causing them to lose substantial amounts of money.

@@ye7006 "Doy, how are casinos evil"? They prey upon addicts, the vast majority of their income comes from the same 10% of addicted patrons. They intentionally target the elderly and the poorly educated. Their advertising doesn't reflect reality, it sells an unrealistic pipe dream. They intentionally seek out and remove players that have a chance of beating them in the long term (card counters, other advantage play). They prey on the communities that surround them, giving false promises of gainful employment and giving back to the community. In reality, their workers are underpaid, exploited, and exposed to hazardous conditions (2nd hand smoke, drunk patrons). Look into the "incentives" casinos provide for elderly people - when you've seen a poster that literally says "Cash your social security check at the casino for a 5% bonus" it becomes abundantly clear that they do not care about people gambling responsibly.
@@POZsquadHSG If you swim with the sharks, don't be upset when they bite you. People gotta make a living somehow, don't go there if you don't support their business practices.
@@ye7006 Casinos are fairly scummy (not the individual staff, but the business model as a whole). All of it is designed to prey on psychological and human weakness to extract as much money from them as possible. While some people go into a casino understanding that they'll lose money long-term (making it an acknowledged expense like going to an amusement park), I dare say most don't even think or know about that, and think if they get lucky they can come out ahead. Then, of course, there are those helplessly addicted or desperately hoping to buck the odds and get bailed out of a poor financial situation, only to make things worse. The casinos prey on these kinds of people. There's a reason they try to get people pretty drunk despite the fact they're potentially deling with thousands of dollars.

I understand the sentiment, but it's not even a 50% likelihood you would get a good outcome, so you would be willingly taking a more than 50% chance of being completely bust. People often have a tendency to under-appreciate what they already have. Even if gambling did make sense psychologically, there would be better gambles to take than betting on a roulette wheel with a significant house edge.

@tomgilligan6005 Dude... those are 25¢ low-denomination "table chips". (low value chips are common at roulette tables because bettors like to play multiple combinations). My honest guess on his stack would be more like $30 to $40... maybe $60 if you include the small stacks of colored chips also placed around the chip tower.
@@matthewbrown6497 lol what kind of poor as hell casinos do you frequent? There is not a single casino that I have ever been to, or know of, that would allow 25-cent denominations. Even $1 is rare to see allowed. That would make the table limits so low as to not be worth it for them to even offer... Not to mention paying out in 25c incriments would be a nightmare for them lol. What kind of penny casino are you talking about? I bet anything he's using the most common roulette chip denomination casinos use, which is $5. (Those red chips he puts on top, are not his but the lady next to him, those are regular $5 casino chips) That makes his bet like $6-800. That's not crazy out of the ordinary lol. I've seen way bigger and dumber bets before. Idk why you people think he's staging his excitement.... See this sort of thing every single time I play.
For anyone not understanding how much he had on the table, the chips he's playing with are only 1$ chips. So it may look like alot but it really only probably is something like 150 to 200.
Colored roulette chips can be any denomination. Some casinos don't even use $1 colored roulette chips, the minimum is $2 or $5. Now, think about four separate people playing regular $5 dollar chips on the numbers. There could be fights or questions about whose chips were whose. Pandemonium! So, all but one person have to turn in their regular $5 chips and they get colored roulette chips. The dealer will place one of your color chips in the clear plastic holder, beside the wheel(above the chips in the video.) On top of your color, the dealer will place a chip with the denomination that you're playing. So no, he doesn't have to be playing with $1. It's most likely, but not a fact. They can be $2,$5, or even $25. Over that probably exceeds all the table limits I've ever seen, in the states.

@@POZsquadHSG how’s it evil😂

What about tye yellow and red chips? We know the wite ones are cheap. But other ones? 10s? 20s? 50s?100s? Id think its atleast 500.

About 20 minutes later when he was up about $7 - 8,000, he abruptly said to the dealer, "OK, color me up." and was stopping gambling.
I asked him incredulously, "How did you do that!?!" His immediate reply was, "Let me tell you something, kid. You've got to have deep pockets and big balls...." He also told me he had just gotten married in Vegas that day. Never forgot him and his advice.
