Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Character Roster BREAKDOWN | The Closest it Could Look...Who Will Be DLC?

Bringing you back with another Character Roster Prediction for DragonBall Sparking Zero!
Shout out to NeoTaku on Twitter / neotaku5 for the Roster that was put together, to see if almost all the characters we can expect from OG DragonBall, GT and Movie characters can still make the cut even with the amount of Z and Super characters already filling up the roster.
With the worry of how small the roster will be, there is definitely a chance some characters that were originally in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 will be sacrificed as DLC characters instead...'cos there are a few characters missing from this list that should be included from Day 1 release!
So watch as I breakdown the roster and decide who I would replace and keep more than others.

The problem is you're trying too hard to have every character not be dlc. You should try to create a most likely good for dlc roster even if you want them to be part of the main roster and start on the basis of "which are canon/part of the main story" (DB, DBZ, DBS, DBS movies) and then you can make the DLC roster without any limits.

Leaving Frieza Soldier in and cutting Cui is wild, especially after he was potentially semi-confirmed via name drop in a recent V-Jump article about Vegeta's Dirty Fireworks, which is the same attack that killed him and inspired the game version.
And there are two Roshis because one is his base from the recent Master vs. Apprentice trailer, while the other is his buff Max Power form that was revealed in the Power vs. Speed trailer.
I personally see the initial release focusing solely on Super and Z, with GT, OG and Movies being DLC down the line. This is my guess for the initial roster IMO:

Okay yah, so on top of the above, I did forget some, I could see Mecha Freeza not being in, but chances are.

Frost's other two forms, but I agree, they aren't needed at all.
I always thought keeping a few slots open for ToP Characters is a smart move, I could see a few others getting in, you could add Magetta and Botamo easily enough, you could get in Aniraza, Ganos and some of the girls.
I forgot Gotenks up top, so add Gotenks (Base, SSj, SSj3) to the list.

This would bring the roster to 160 if we use the slots for characters listed in the Top and keep two aside just in case.
At the end of the day, I see DLC being GT and Movies, but I kind of see Movie Brolly being in on release for the reason that Super Brolly is labeled as Super Brolly, and not just Brolly. So that would be another 3 slots.
GT Pack 1:

I'd replace the Bardock, Cooler and Z Broly character spots for Teen Chi-Chi, Grandpa Gohan, GT Goten, GT Vegeta, Super Saiyan GT Goten, King Vegeta, and Golden Great Ape Goku.
U cant get away with not having base Gotenks cause u cant Fuse into ssj. When Fusion is performed theyll always be in base and then u go ssj. Just how DB works in manga, anime and games .
i think that Aniraza or Cell Max MUST be on the base roster because they cannot get away with not having at least one single new DBS giant character in this game
This is too best case scenario. Id love if this was actually the case but sadly I feel this is gonna be the type of game u gotta wait for all the dlc for
I'd be satisfied with this roster. I personally just hope they do add Basil and Lavender.
Hopefully they're who they're gonna reveal at summer games fest 👀 we shall see
How people still don’t understand that characters like Saibamen, Cell Jrs, Freezer soldiers, etc, matter a lot, not because we want to play as them, but to play AGAINST them 🤷🏻♂️
Those characters can easily just be for in game/story purposes only, they can create the models and fighting mechanics for them but not actually have us play as them, abit like corrupt zamasu and demigra in the Xenoverse games where you'd fight them only in raids but you can't play as them freely, that kind of thing

@@Ed_Crane you can say that about super Saiyan 4 Goku in Dragonball fighterz, yet he's only a form for an ultimate attack for GT Goku 🙄😔 they had his model, why not make him playable too like people wanted

I can't wait for the roster to look nothing like this, It's so cluttered and noisy to look at. I'm curious to know what it actually looks like in character selection
I agree! I feel like at the moment it's designed the way it is just to keep us on our toes and speculate who comes next and where they'd fit, designed for trailer purposes basically. I reckon the actual roster will look ENTIRELY different to what we're seeing when the game comes out

theres so many characters missing, Bojack,Zangya,Eis Shenron,Android 13, Dr.Wheelo, Cyborg Tao, Evil Buu, Pilaaf robot mode, Turles, Metal Cooler, Fasha, maybe some of those characters are there and i didnt look correctly but still
No you looked correctly! None of them are there when a majority of them should be, I'm glad I'm not the only one that wants Dr Wheelo haha 😂
@@fantastictalksft i also want them to add first form Hirudegarn, the whole Bojack crew or at least the guy with the transformation that Trunks killed, Bardock crew, Hatchiyack, some og dragon characters like Namu, i also like that you added Aniraza from tournament of power but i doubt he will be in the main roaster.

Btw it wasn't me that added Aniraza in this roster, NeoTaku on twitter made this roster and the characters he chose to put in so the credit goes to him, I wanted to sort of break it down and analyse it myself :)
@@fantastictalksft this game could be huge if they add all those characters, now imagine if they also add crossplay and a tag team mode like tenkaichi tag team, that's the dream game of every dragon ball fan out there
Don't forget about new characters such as General Rildo, Anilaza, Vegeta (GT), Teen Chi Chi, Oceanus Shenron, Eis Shenron, Champa, Vados, Uub, Turles, Lord Slug, Dr. Wheelo, and Pikkon.
I think that there is gonna be way more than 164 base roster I think this is just the amount their showing us first before release date
I sure hope so my friend, hopefully this is just to keep us off guard and they'll surprise us with some extra slots

1v1-5v5, CPU vs CPU, 2v2 tag team, 5v5 (10players) online, tournament mode, tournament of power mode, story mode, sims mode, battle tower mode, and spectator mode.
I've seen that 5v5 and all that has indeed been confirmed! along with kefla and even super saiyan rage controlled kale, might do a video on this soon when I get the chance, depending if there's any more news
@@fantastictalksft that would be super awesome of you to cover. Not many others talk about it much the PSP version was honestly my favorite even though it had way fewer characters.
I hope they continue the what-if sagas and use inspiration from some what-if RUclipsr stories
I'd remove general blue, basil and lavender and replace them with paikuhan,tapion and metal cooler

100%, never gonna buy the game if he's not even in it
I say make these changes:
-Swap out the base and SSJ form of Z Broly for Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo. We already have two other Brolys and I think the main one people want to play as is LSSJ
-Agree on swapping Great Ape Bardock for either Turles or SSJ Bardock
-I think Meta Cooler should be a priority over 1st form Cooler. Only appeal of first form Cooler in Tenkaichi is the eye beam (which you could give to another form) and the transformation scene IMO
-I don't think Cabba and Caulifla need BOTH SSJ forms. I say have them be base and like SSJ2. There's just too little of a difference and I don't feel they showed enough for a huge moveset difference (its been awhile maybe Im wrong). Replace one with like maybe Cell Max and the other with someone else that felt missing
-if you wanna get GT Vegeta in there, yeah maybe get rid of the first two forms of Baby Vegeta. I love those forms, but Super Baby 2 is the main one we need
-Yeah Saibaman can go lol. If he NEEDS to be in, just have him be a weak NPC
Those are some of my suggestions. I think just some forms can be cut for other characters. Btw you mentioned a family/siblings trailer. I actually suggested that for a trailer in a video I made recently, and I'm the first person I've seen who's suggested it. Wonder if you saw my video lol
Hate to say it but your choices of characters and forms to get rid would have to be the case, it's a difficult roster to sort out
And yes I have stumbled across your video 😅 I suggested a sibling trailer could be next in my last video though before I saw it, glad I'm not the only one that's predicting one 😁
@@fantastictalksft Yeah it is really tough. I'm just thinking back to the BT1 days where we got a ton of characters but a lot of them didn't have all their forms yet (Broly, Cooler, Janemba, Baby, etc.), and then BT2 added a ton of those missing forms. I figured maybe that's the lesser of two evils with Sparking Zero as well (especially with DLC, I mean XV2 added missing forms like Buuhan lol)

@@fantastictalksft Thank you! And yes I'd rather have some movie/GT/Super Hero characters in the base roster, and then maybe just have to wait later for some of their forms rather than them in the game at all lol.
I only disagree with one thing. If Cabba has to have only 1 transformation, it would be SSJ 1. Because clearly Champa's tournament would be part of the story mode. And it would be a missed opportunity not to have the Vegeta vs Cabba fight and for reasons of the squad, it becomes ssj 2 just because we don't have 1. For that, let's ignore the second transformation that in the tournament of power, was not so relevant like his first transformation in the Champa tournament.

Mecha Frieza should be an alternative costume. Since there really no new move-set.
I almost wanted to replace Mecha Frieza with Meta Cooler instead cos at least he has a slightly different moveset compared to base Cooler
He uses Supernova for one which the other forms of frieza didn't use.
Why are transformations different characters ?
Off subject my Z family how do y’all think the story mode should be!!!..for me I feel like it should be a cross between Kakarot Naruto Storm and Ultimate Tenkaichi but on a larger scale and I know when I said Ultimate Tenkaichi y’all cringed 😂but to be honest the battle system might of sucked but that story mode was epic and very well done with QTES in action parts of cutscenes and mini games like Vegeta chasing Zarbon and Didoria
If I'm being honest I don't want any of that, I want a story mode that's similar to how Tenkaichi 3 and raging blast 1 , simple, quick cutscenes here and there after a certain length of a fight and dialogue whilst fighting, just to make it feel that more nostalgic to a Tenkaichi game considering this IS a Tenkaichi game , but if I had to pick on if they do end up doing a story mode in a different way, then yeah I would go with how the Naruto storm games did it as they told the story mode the best in my opinion
@@fantastictalksft I feel ya but they did state that this game would come with a complete story mode now I’m with you on the fights as Kakarot poorly represented those battles in the main game the DLCS were pretty decent but this is sparking we’re talking about so you know the battle mechanics are going go crazy but I don’t wanna just sit back and watch cutscenes play out we got enough of that in Kakarot it’s UE5 we should be interacting more with these cutscenes and have awesome core fighting!!!
@@kwasiparker6393 I've barely heard anything if this game is meant to have a story mode tbh...I hope it does, but I thought the story telling and fights in kakarot were pretty decent! I had a lot of fun with that game but I know what you mean, I wanna get straight to the point with the fights and have short cutscenes or quick time events if a cutscene is that long y'know?
@@fantastictalksft if I remember correctly I think it was during the second trailer with the developers interview go check out SLO PLAYS CHANNEL he breaks down what was posted about it and yeah the reason I said Kakarot did a poor job is because all of the bosses had the same one melee combo string and that pausing for an hour to throw a kick crap was atrocious to me 😂 then on top of that the only thing the bosses did was sit back launch and projectiles most of the time and dragon characters don’t fight like that go back and watch the frieza fight Goku and Frieza were actually battling Bro this game didn’t start getting good until the DLCS and when they finally introduced ground combat which should’ve been in the game from the start and on top that it’s missing Iconic scenes!!!

Yeah kakarot wasn't perfect I'll admit 😅 there definitely could've been some improvement with combat but It was decent enough that I got to enjoy it alot, regardless that it got tedious now and then, I still have yet to play the dlc's 😅 but I'm looking forward to how the combat is in the DragonBall world tournament! 🙌
controversial oppinion, they should keep it to z and super, no z movies either, they can always make dlc
Something about that just feels wrong considering it's meant to be a sequel to Tenkaichi 3 with super being the new thing added but that's a fair opinion

Here is an idea of mine to cut Cabba and Caulifla SS2. Make these not transformations but final attacks. Like Goku SS has in Fighterz where he transforms into SS3 for a few seconds. That way you show the characters reachin that form but you dont have to build a character around it.

@@fantastictalksft For one the game started development prior to the release of the movie. But also because Piccolo is just called Piccolo on the site instead of "Piccolo early" or "Piccolo Z"
@@DarkShuyin I hope they're more like unlockable characters rather than dlc or secret characters or something, cos I think them being dlc again would seem abit redundant since they've already been dlc for Xenoverse 2, I wouldn't wanna pay extra for those guys again
Whoever made this roster list didn’t have to add individual forms in every slots… Tenkaichi has a history of simplifying character slots.. putting transformations under the characters slot

Imo dragon ball heros would be wasted character slots in exchange for actual characters.
