Super Mario Diagnostics Thanks mate, I have to agree, the ribbon cable had an area which looked like a very small crack although it’s was hard to see any obvious brake... Confirming before replace the way to go 😊👍👍👍
Niamh Healy 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks Niamh, I know what you mean it’s always in the back of your mind that you are working essentially with explosives 🧨... but as long as the airbag is disconnected it should be all good cheers 👍👍👍
myles waller thanks mate Yeap this one had 6 lanes on the ribbon cable but the only fault was the airbag system everything else was working I guess other stuff would start failing soon... Parts has been ordered by the owner of the car I should be posting some pictures on Instagram cheers mate 👍👍👍
Hello genius. How are you? Can I bother you with a question? I have a 2004 VW Passat with 184,000 km. Everything was going perfectly until one day I went to start it and by mistake I turned the key for a short time and it did not start. There I turned off the contact, started it again and the car started normally, but from there it throws me the error 00588 N95, error due to high resistance in the driver's side airbag. I made him clear the error but it reappears right away. Do you know what it could be? Thank you so much.
great vid. i own skoda octavia elegance (cat eye Flashlights) cbz engine 1.2 tsi 2013 need to replace the clock spring. air bag light is on and there is no respond from the other buttons on the wheel includs the horn. can you help me where can i find one on the net or what is serial number that compitable to my car ? tnx
Thomas EXOVCDS hello mate, oh yes it did well, everything seems to be failing in that car not that I’m complaining 😊, we are trying to push to the 500k 😋😂😀 cheers 👍👍👍
@@lucianrazec7242 That makes a little more sense (that is was replaced before), but still... 250K is a lot in my area (people only drive short distances in the city).
@@CarsExposed would an air bag light make locks go on and off intermittently and then an hour late air bag light goes off and the lock stop going on and off and go back to normal
@carsexposed what was the software you were using on the tablet? Saw something about Delphi. Are you using some kind of Delphi Bluetooth reader for the OBD II port that works with a certain software? Would be so nice to find a good reliable software and downsize on the amount of scan tools having to lug around. On the air bad testing stuff AESwave.com has a nice wiring kit so one don't bend connector plugs, pins, etc and I noticed it had a couple air bag. Never got around to looking at the air bag pieces yet though. The kit does have a 10k ohm resistance lead as well for testing keyed security systems with the resistor in them and testing other stuff as well. I picked up a box similar to one you used in the video but instead of turn knobs it has switches so you can set the ohms amount. The higher the ohms the more switches you flip. Wish I'd seen yours beforehand though as the rotating knobs takes less space. Where did you get yours if I might ask?
Dale N I was using the Delphi DS-150 it comes with a Bluetooth obd2 VCI quite handy and capable tool for the price ... I’ve been recommended the AESwave kit which is really nice and essential by the way, but unfortunately I can’t afford at the moment ... I got my decade box from EBay very inexpensive I think I paid £10 for it, if you are getting one get the one with the 5 knobs as you are able to control X0.1 ohms which I can’t with mine not the best quality out there but it works really well ... rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F223523840487
My mk2 Fabia has an airbag light that comes on in the beginning and then goes off after flashing a couple of times. Upon scanning it shows low airbag voltage. Checked the battery and alternator, both are fine. How would you recommend I determine and fix that?
Quick question. In that 400k how many times you needed to repair or replace the drivers door wiring? Mine gone twice already. ;) If you could make a video of that would be awesome
UK Car Rebuilds I had to repair once about 2 years ago unfortunately I didn’t film it, it was a quick soldering job and still holding I’m quite surprised actually 👍😊
Love it! Nine times out of ten, it tends to be the clock spring. Good call confirming the repair before ordering that part Igor 👍👍👍

Amazing job, similar problem I have so looking forward to fixing it
How's she goin'? This was a complex one to track down. Nicely done!!! Take care!!!
Grampie's Workshop thanks Mike 👍👍👍
Great job Igor! I'll be honest, airbags scare me 😳😂😂😂

Very interesting video, good job as usual
Thanks man I appreciate it 👍👍👍
The old decade box came in handy there igor
dave sterl Oh yes mate very handy EBay special decade box 😂😂😂😀👍 cheers
Quite often when that goes the horn stops working as well remember to get the old coding of the original unit so you can call the new unit up

Nicely done, test not guess. 👍
Automotive Solutions thanks mate, definitely the way to go cheers 👍👍👍
Most airbag systems I have worked on run about 2.0ohms . Great video but you forgot to say thank you to me for been so good looking 🤣
nuffz qualters damn it I forgot about that 😊😂😂, I guess it can change from vehicle to vehicle but what I have seen it’s around 5ohms cheers mate 👍👍👍
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hit the thumbs up before the video even starts. :)
wyattoneable 😁😁😁☺️ thanks Mate I really appreciate it 👍👍👍

I had the clock spring changed on this car about 3 years ago so from my experience I can say that the valeo squib lasts around 150k miles (250k km)
Lucian Razec oh as usual you didn’t tell me that you’ve changed it before mate 🙄🙄😂🤣... nice to see you here tho 👍👍👍

When you first crank the car does it get bellow 10v ?
I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT HAS 400K ON THE CLOCK 😱🤔
Not every car can run that much.
More like 440k now and still going 😊... I have to agree there 👍👍👍👍
Mine only has 78K. Still have a long way to go. ;)
