40 years ago I came to Prescott for the first time. I knew I wanted to live and retire in this community. Been here now for 30 years and love it more and more every day!!

My husband and I swung through Prescott when we went to the Grand Canyon to celebrate our anniversary back in 2008 - very pretty little town - we lived in roasting Tuscon for 4 years and loved it. I still call AZ my real home even though I was born in CT (we now live in FL!)

Living in Prescott is not only a peaceful way to live but a healthy place to live. No stress from the big city lifestyle yet all of the big city amenities, Prescott is rated at the top of USA cities for clean air. There are lakes to fish, kayak and hike around, pine filled mountains to hike, bike, horseback ride through and explore, or camp in. Wide open plains where you'll find cattle and Pronghorn antelope grazing. The history of the area includes the Native Peoples (who were here before Europeans arrived) and their "cities" that today teach us where and how they lived through their architectural ruins left behind. The local Yavapai Tribe's reservation, surrounded by Prescott, share their culture with all and contributes greatly to the Prescott life!

@caemanillustrations and @kmgodbold -- I live in Prescott and I recognize every location depicted in this video. I have played at or on the lakes and have even ridden horses here. Not only from a guided equestrian tour back when I first moved here, but I have since made friends here who own horses. I am not sure which Prescott you are referring to but this video is definitely of "my" Prescott.

Some people that already live in the area don't want new people moving in. They want to keep the town small. Too bad for them! Ha ha!

And furthermore, house here are outrageously expensive!!! The cheapest houses are like $900,000...and rent is $1,800 for a studio! Do yourself a favor and move to North Carolina...or New Jersey!

You are lying. There are several lakes in the area of Prescott. The taxes are NOT high! They are around 5% sales tax. There is the oldest rodeo in the country every year so where do you get info?? Troll. The Prescott National Forest is right outside the town full of trees and pines! The weather beats out Phoenix's beastly heat by 20 degrees!
