Trail Champions: Bean Peaks Gravity Flow Trails | Prescott, Arizona

The Bean Peaks Trail System is officially OPEN!
The community came together on 5/31 to slice the ribbon and welcome riders of all ages and abilities to nab some fresh laps on this first-of-its-kind system on U.S. Forest Service land in the entire state of Arizona.
This opening celebrates phase one for the Beak Peaks: 6.5 miles of progressive, gravity-flow trails. Thanks to an IMBA Trail Accelerator grant, IMBA Trail Solutions designed this system, which was a cooperative/hybrid build by IMBA Trail Solutions, the City of Prescott, and PMBA volunteers (notably the Over the Hill Gang). This first phase includes beginner, intermediate AND advanced trails accessed directly from the White Spar campground parking lot (less than a mile from downtown).
This milestone also celebrates the steadfast partnerships that have developed in Prescott between the City and the U.S. Forest Service. Talks of a system like this have been in the works for the past decade, and the myriad of non-mountain bike trail users (trail runners, equestrians, hikers, etc.) who have shown support for Bean Peaks are astounding.
