I agree with your loyalty to Kojaks.
I once had a P6R (with the silly pretzel handlebars) and after getting punctures with the Schwalbe Marathons, decided to try Kojaks on the basis that my road bike had very little tread and hardly ever got punctures.
My logic (and real life experience) for this choice is that any treaded tyre is capable of picking up shards in the tread which often invisibly work their way through the tyre to puncture it much later on (even with Marathon's fine protective band), where as tread-free tyres tend to not pick up shards in the first place.
I always try to brush off my tyres on the go when rolling over any dodgy looking surfaces which no doubt helps too.
Anyway. As you describe, the Kojaks noticeably roll faster and lighter and only punctured when they had worn so thin they needed replacing anyway!

Question of the week… will do my best to spend some time on them.
Took my Schwalbe one's off, got 3 flats over about 50 miles while cycling in Edinburgh. On the plus side, the One's are very fast.
Still don’t know if they are faster than the kojak need to setup some kind of official test
Yes a comparison with Continental Contact Urban would be useful. Also how do we remove brake pad marks from the rims? I have tried Isopropyl Alcohol and it removes some only. Lastly does toe-in of the pads for Bromptons improve braking power?
I used dishwashing sponge scrub (yellow foam with green scrub) like scothcbrite with soap and water.
I have a couple ideas but now you’ve made me think that a video on it might be useful 🤔
I rode both on 20” wheels. I was surprised how much faster one is compared to kojak. So now, i ride kojak in winter because i don t need a fast tyre in poor weather condition and ride one for road events.
I also rode conti urban contact and it is as good as one but much better than kojak and very good against punctures

As an elderly, "Rainy Dane", I haven't used my the Shop-given and randomly finished SuperlightM6LXBrompton enough to have needed to change my original tires to something new! I have a car for absolutely necessary transport, and mostly use my Brompton for Travels and - ordered exercise, from my wife! So I honestly don't know which tires my SuperlightM6LXBrompton had from new, as they are still useable and lasts with a reasonably pattern on both of them still.
I have seen to never to have had a puncture, as Danish Gravel Passes are supplied and covered with, seemingly nicely rounded gravel for a smoother ride on bikes, for the inhabitants? I may only complain about larger stones being placed at intervals, enabling themselves to roll up between my mudguards and the wheel, to make noises and get stuck in between, where the distance is the smallest!
But I will use this Film for an eventual coming change to a new set of tires, as You have much more experience from actually riding on the contraption!!
I have spent much more time making it ligther, so for now it is below 9 kilo, with mudguards! And it still looks quite/mostly as a Standard bike!! 😄 Finn. Denmark

@@TheBromptonGuy I will try if I'm able to make a picture of my bike! My dear wife has ordered me to bring a phone during rides, if needing one, but I hardly use my phone for anything and actually hates them, for being a total waste of time (I have a Garmin Explore with special bike-maps)!!! But my present phone is able to take a picture, and I may find a way to transfer those to my Notebook, with a Cable? I am a Grumpy Old Man of 76 so I'm not that smart concerning those modern inventions, and still wonders why planes are able to fly 😄! I do prefer my bike to look as Standard as possible, and I have taken care of it from the very beginning, with added Chinese "Protection Plates" against scratches from handling and folding! So it still looks like a new bike from 2019!!

How to check if your kojak needs to be replaced? Cant find any indicator on the tires
Yeah I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have any and simply a case of looking for deep cuts, wall thickness and obvious no threads shown. I’ve often looked and mine and thought “are they done” but still think they have some good life left.
This is a useful model comparison though it would be good to see a comparison of the continental products as well.
I guess for slightly selfish reasons in that I was thinking about getting some ‘slick’ tyres for my daily London commute

How’s it going friend? I will certainly try and compare them but spend so little time on the continentals I can’t give and honest opinion. Will try and spend some time on them but my content calendar is so full and time is so limited can’t promise it will be soon but will add it to my suggestions list. Maybe the community can help but I do know they contact Urbans are highly rated by folk
Schwalbe one and especially the Kojak are not durable enough in my opinion! I only use folding Conti urban contacts now.
I will stand by the Kojaks currently as I’ve never had any punctures or issue but accept the urbans on paper offer better protection
Which one is wider ? Kojak or One ?

Schwalbe Ones are absolute s****te. They were originally on my S6L, I got 2 punctures inside of my first 80 miles. Exasperated, I ditched them for some Marathon Pluses.
To early for me to comment yet but my guy and heart are telling me the Kojak was the perfect solution for me.
That said 180miles down with the one and still going 💪
However long way to go before they gain my trust
