  • We hear a case study of how an operator of 20 Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs) achieved improve concrete improvements in vessel performance aided by digital technology.
The case study will not name the operator, but will present their real data.
The case study will be useful learning to people improving vessel performance in all kinds of vessels.
It's presented by Opsealog, a company which produces web based software to improve fleet performance, report online, and integrate data sources, based in Marseilles, France. Its motto is "transforming data into action".
While the final analysis and the recommendations were simple to work with, and looks simple, the work to generate them was complicated. We hear that success requires having a clear plan of what you expect from digital tools and discuss what this means.
We also discuss how to have a clear understanding of what technology you want to build in-house and what you want to purchase. There are advantages and disadvantages of both.
The same digital technology was used to improve vessel maintenance and availability (reduced downtime), and overall lifetime of the vessels.
Our speakers are Damien Bertin, Business Director, Opsealog and Gilles Cros, Technical Director, Opsealog.
