Iridium - Recent developments to improve GMDSS, anti-piracy communications, and to complement VSAT

Satellite operator Iridium has recently made a number of developments to its service, so it can function better for GMDSS (emergency) communications, provide better tools for alerting following any piracy attacks, and act as a back-up to VSAT communications.
