    This came out as SUCHHHH a perfect time. I was honestly stressing out about whether the good and the beautiful would still be a good choice for my kids. I really value your opinion because I feel like you inspire me in my homeschooling journey so so much! 🙏🏻🥰

      You are so welcome! Take some deep breaths you got this!! Have fun and enjoy the process and trust the curriculum. If your nervous about how your during why don’t you have your kids tested at the end of the year with your evaluator. It will give you the confidence you need. I’ll check the link now so check it again this afternoon. 💕

    My question is how did you schedule your day for this curriculum and how did you grade her? Did you happen to keep track of what you guys did daily for record keeping? :)

    • @MrsMomsHomeschool
      @MrsMomsHomeschool  Год назад

      We just do a lesson a day. As far as record keeping at the end of the year I just take samples of all of her work and put it into a portfolio. We are in Florida and record keeping guidelines aren’t strict . We also don’t do grading. If she understands it and gets the work right we move on and if she needs more help we slow down.

      But don’t they need grades for even elementary? But yes I could understand that. Some start doing grades at 4th grade. :) I just want to keep grades for formality and record keeping. I was also wondering would you recommend doing Power Homeschool curriculum and The Good and the Beautiful at same time?

      How are you doing samples for The Good and the Beautiful, do you rip out the pages off the book? Or take pics?

    • @MrsMomsHomeschool
      @MrsMomsHomeschool  Год назад

      @@Donttouchthisaccount143 in Florida we don’t need grades at all. So I’m sorry I can’t answer that question the right way for you. The Good and the Beautiful is a great program by itself and you don’t need to add anything with it because if you did, it would be a lot of work. If you didn’t want to wait to start writing until they are developmentally appropriate you could add on some writing assignments because The Good and the Beautiful waits until the upper levels to focus on writing but studies show that kids are not really developmentally ready until later on than they are taught in Public school.

      @@Donttouchthisaccount143 I rip out the pages and save the portfolio and disregard the book since I don't have room for years and years of curriculum storage.

    Did you find the LA to fully give everything she needed to learn. Seems like they skip a lot

      I don’t feel likely they skip anything. Although the writing could be improved I’ve heard that when kids go to college after using TGTB they do really well. And when my kids test they test above average. What do you feel they are missing?

    Missed if you mentioned what the name of the online Art course is you use?

      I only use a RUclips channel called kids art hub. The art class she’s taking is at her homeschool co-op
