I'm crying. You have no idea how many mamas you are helping by being so raw & honest. My brain is also a jumble and I'm the least organized person I know and I have struggled every step of the way through homeschooling (currently in our 4th year) But I haven't given up because I feel God's called me to it & He has been doing a mighty work in me to get my act together. I am so grateful for the grace He gives me, because so many others in my life aren't as willing and I so badly NEED it. I know God will use all these struggles for good in the end. Thank you for all you do! 💗🙏

@forhisglory222 You are not alone. I've been struggling with myself and lack of organization. Beginning to wonder if I have ADHD and can't seem to stay consistent, regardless of preplanning and scheduling.

Glad I found this video, this is why I'm withdrawing my son after Christmas break. I was just racking my brain because he is so behind in math and the school is just not helpful. I have done a ton of research and finally made the decision. know this is 3 years ago but definitely what I needed. thank you.

This is awesome! Sometimes I feel caught up in the sense that kids have to be at a certain point or else I feel like I'm failing when in reality that's not the case at all! Thank you for sharing this.

You made total sense. My girls are 7 and 10 using tgtb curriculum levels 2 and 5. My 7 year old has trouble with the language arts so we stopped using it. I ordered level 1 to see if that helps. First year homeschoolers here and LOVING it!

You know I needed this!!! Even though I know better, I’m still stressing. I think it’s because my son will be in high school next year😬 I feel like being “behind” will hurt him!

I feel encouraged! My Kindergartener make it 2 units into her CLE math and loves it, but she started missing more and becoming frustrated as we got into unit 3, so we have paused. Are coving things in different ways with some free resources. She has also asked to do unit 2 again, so we are. And then we'll move onto unit 3 if she's ready:)!

We had the same journey with math. Quit the good and the beautiful and are using Horizons now. My new 4th grader is using level 2. Horizons is pretty advanced math in my opinion. I wouldn’t say it’s at grade level at all. I’m fine with him being at level 2 as long as we keep progressing from this point on.

Do you need the teacher book to teach horizons math or is the student book enough?

I personally never use the teacher guide. I’m gonna sell the one I have for level 1. But I have used the level 4 one a few times to check the answer guide lol

My daughter who is 6 is constantly playing me on reading. She tells me she can’t read and she s always telling me she can remember her sight words. We have tried several different curriculums and she does the same with each of them. When she was in public preschool she was reading and she will read when she wants to but never when it class time. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Oh man, that is hard! I had that going on with my oldest daughter when she was in pre-k and K. I felt like she was making it up. She would act like she didn’t remember the letter sounds. I don’t even remember how we got through that phase. I think she grew out of it or something but I remember getting very frustrated during that and finally said ok I guess I’ll just choose to believe you even tho I don’t feel like you’re telling the truth.......
