@JapaneseTreasure On our version of this Torch 9800 they're T4, not T2. So at 1:40 we use a T4. But it's possible that some phones have minor differences for screws, not impossible with BlackBerry, depending on the plant which manufacture them.
@JapaneseTreasure Sometimes using a bigger screwdriver, or even a screwdriver of a different shape may help if the screws are stripped. In his case, I would try a Phillips screwdriver, or even a T3 to try to remove the damaged screw from the phone. Hope this will help.
You take it apart completely, I have only one problem at the end, the screen I see it is very flexible and would not force it. I wonder how good is the screen and more or less how much force could be applied in order to remove it. If I can answer in Spanish would be better!
@Grafictk Hola, usted hay que tener cuidado en ese momento al traer quitar la pantalla LCD. Es pegado con cinta adhesiva de doble cara, pues apretelo ligeramente. Espero que ese puede ayudar usted.
@wwwcnncn Ah, interesting. This tutorial was very useful anyhow. However, at one stage one of the screws eroded and my screwdriver could not fit in the screw (as the insertion point of the screw has turned into a circle), apposed to a normal star looking shape. Are there any alternatives or advice you can give me?
See I'm just trying to find a video to replace just the full housing. I don't need to do the whole disassembly so it's a little tricky not to go overboard in taking things apart.
Yes we did one video for the reassembly, it's here to help you: type "BlackBerry Torch 9800 assembly tutorial" in the search bar. It should assist you :)
The keyboard is hard to change. If you have a new keyboard to change then look at the back of the plastic that comes with the keys. You will see 12 little plastic legs on the back these have to go through the case and then melted down so the plastic surround holds the keyboard in place. To remove the old one you have to cut away very carefully the small melted pieces of plastic. Not an easy job.
Great. Watched the video, ordered a new bezel, T2, T4 and T6, shipping took 25 days and now I'm stuck and need a fkn T3 instead. UPDATE THAT DAMN VIDEO!
Bonsoir, comment démonter le haut parleur du Torch 9800 car aucune vidéo ne le montre!!!! J'ai démonter mon Torch 9800 mais je bloque sur le Haut parleur!! Qui a une solution ?
warning! is not as easy as shown here to take off the touch screen!! it comes very hard glued and must to use a hair dryer hot air to help dissasembling this part. and use a very thin plastic tool to remove it

It depends on the manufacturer and the assembly line, BlackBerry used either one or the other. The phone we had for this video had T4

Does it matter if the screws get mixed up along the way ?
Or if it fits it fits and screw it in. That's the main thing that's been pondering me.

@JapaneseTreasure If so, you'll have to find out the way to cut the screws with any specific tool
