even if you're not into dissassembling blackberrys, this video can serve as a rejuvination to the greatest of dionne warwick! My son and i just spent a great hour together he dissassembling his phone and i getting reaquainted with on of the greatest muscians of our time- dionne warwick. this is the closest my son and i have been in months, nay years. thank you so much for this. happy forth of july!
0.35. not only the battery; sim also, if you have one in there. I dropped the phone in the water and I had to disassemble it to dry it. THIS VIDEO IS A LIFE SAVER. Thanks!!
this video was helpful - thank you! i have a note though, because i spent a long time trying to work out how to change the middle plate and i've seen people commenting about it.. straight to the point, do not change the middle plate. on the 9700, the battery and headphone connections are attached to the middle plate, so changing it requires soldering various wires and you're pretty likely to (excuse the french) cock it up. good luck all, once again great video
Great tutorial..........many thanks can you help with this rather vague question????I dropped my bold into a bowl of water by accident....I have nothing to lose by taking it apart and replacing some internal parts as it no longer works fullstop. Q - At best guess what part would need replacing to give me the bext chance of it working or even charging again?
nice tutorial...may i ask if its possible to put bb bold 9700 housing on another model of blackerry phone. if yes which one. im asking coz my friend bought a 2nd hand 9700 but the housing looks like it was forced in on a hardware of another bb
@wwwcnncn Could you elaborate on that? I followed your very excellent guide to disassemble my phone, but i can't seem to get at the loudspeaker on the rear. I wan't to clean the guck out of the opening, but am having no luck accessing the speaker from the inside of the backplate. Thanks in advance.
nice tutorial! I have a problem, i remove the 4 screws around the lcd screen, then the micro sd card connector, but then i can't lift away the board from the housing ( see 1:53 ) is there something else that I have to do? It seems that the board get stucked with the silver part of the housing (behind the battery) tnx
Nicely done! the only thing in the very begging t-mobile part shoud be disattached from the bottom not from the side... (broke a clip) over all very good !
heya!just want to ask if there's still a chance to fix my blackberry 9700. i accidentally drop it in the beach 2 months ago and the after effect was the camera not working anymore...luckily, all the other functions and features are still working.
Everyone should vote this comment up so it gets to the top. They didn't cover it in the video but I also had a problem with taking the board out and then saw this comment about taking out the SIM chip. Thanks @jml3211!
Is it true that If I put the main board into a different mid frame(the part that sayt BOLD) I'll have issues with reception? I want to change it to white
my blackberry bold 9700 has white screen with battery icon and red line through it also whenever i used another battery and it boots up it says "uncaught errors" i do i fix these problems? PLEASE HELP
