Thank you a million times for this video! Yours is the only disassembly guide for the 9800 Torch that is in 1080 HD! I used your video to take apart my Torch so that I could replace the ribbon cable for the front main four buttons that go around the trackpad, with a new one I ordered off ebay for $3; they were defective and either didn't work, or didn't trigger the correct button when pressed. Your guide saved me hundreds of $ on a new phone! Now a reverse assembly guide would be great...
I've broken the slider on my blackberry, and it doesn't stay when I slide it up, it just slides down, I have to manually hold it up to type, and ideas on how to help?
Does anyone here that owns a Torch 9800/9810 have any issues with the slider mechanism making a mild "sliding" noise? It sounds almost like a peice of sand paper rubbing on smooth paper, its not a bad sound or anything, and you can only hear it if you hold it close to your ear, sometimes once and a while when I open and close it by pushing down on the lower lower part of the screen (right above the trackpad) the screens movement makes a weird light grinding or scraping kind of noise. Any ideas?
Screen does not rotate on my 9810. The covers were recently changed and thats when this problem occured. Maybe it was pressed too hard when screwing it up. So can someone help me with the location of the rotation sensor (wondering if thats what its called).
i have changed the lcd of my blackberry 9800 bt after tht the touch is not working i have tried 4 different touchs bt all the same result...... bt when i put the same board on another blackberry touch is working wot cn be the problem ??
I don't know... when the video starts with describing the tools laid out from "left to right", and what you see is laid out right to left... Aaaahhh fuck it, I'm tearing mine apart right now!

if your still wondering you have to just pry it off starting from the top of the black cover thing . the cover might break
