These videos are so cool to watch, I'm just curious, though, are the Maikos and Geishas allowed to talk to the camera people or do they have to keep a certain social distance due to their status to the life they live?

Geiko and maiko are taught to be kind and greet everyone! Some are more distant to them because it can be very stressing to have cameras on your face, others are more comfortable with it

９月にも先斗町雅美家さんのお見世出しがありましたが、その時も女将さんが率先して撮影に来ている方々の為にフォトセッション的な時間を作っていらっしゃいましたね。
前回お見世出しした秀芙美さん、そして今回の秀千代さんもですが、自然に周囲に会釈をしたり感謝をされたりしているお姿を見ると、芸事だけではなく他の大切な部分もしっかりと女将さん達から受け継いでらっしゃるんだなと見て思いました。

だいたい、ニ十歳くらいだそうですね😊この日は雨が降らないかひやひやしていたような記憶がございます。
前に聞きましたが、先斗町の芸舞妓の衣装は、京都花街の中では、一番立派だそうですよ。
考えたら昔の呉服屋筋「室町」に1番近いさかい‼️

昭和10年でこんなに綺麗な街並みだったんでしょうか？終戦前は東京は焼け野原だった気がしてました💦
関東大震災から、10年程でこのような復興を遂げたことにとても驚きました。8mmフィルムではなく9.5mmフィルムなのがとても珍しく楽しめました。
