  • Hey fellow surf addicts, Jake from Australia. Today were checking out The Pyzel Phantom from none other than legendary shaper, Jon Pyzel. I believe this is a good board, but I'm indecisive at the moment, which is why I'm splitting this review into parts 1 & 2, to reach a verdict.
    Conditions: 1-4.5 ft
    Fins used so far:
    - Coffin Bro Fins (Futures Medium)
    - Am Stealth Fins (Shapers Large)

Wonder if in small junky surf a large fin would be better with the wide low rocker tail? Not sure about your weight.

A large fin could work. However, I felt using a large raked fin in this board, felt too stiff. A neutral or pivot set would be best, paired with this board.

You know it's not the phantoms it the shadow (written on the board )

Hey mate, it’s a phantom, but the factory made a mistake when they placed the logo on the board. The deck says Shadow, and the back of the board says Phantom 😂.

Why it’s say Shadow on the board and you’re sayinh it’s a phantom ?

They labelled it wrong in the factory in Tweed Heads NSW. It’s a phantom, they made a mistake.
