You should've hooked it up and showed a couple movies and games on it. Your video shouldn't be about looking at you, but of what you're talking about. Just my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback! In the process of making a special space to use the projector but it hasnt been completed yet. My main use of the projector had been in a previous living space! We will absolutely show some footage of it in a future video!
Black levels are def solid, contrast ratio is 100000:1 which is very good for a cinema projector. Only thing I will say is that even though its good during daytime watching it does get a little washed out. Which is pretty typical.
Sorry that I am light to the show , But I think a bigger remote is just fine for a projector control with a back light . I have a pioneer vsx 53 elite receive , that remote has such small buttons and a lot of them ,it's all most impossible to use at times . Small remote basically suck . And yes the 3800 is a good buy even if it's not a true native 4k but very close to it .
Depending on the throw the 5050ub would probably be better for a mancave setup! But depends on how much you wanna spend on a screen and the 5050ub is also a tank and is much larger weight wise for traveling if that is also a consideration. Thanks for watching!
If you're on a budget, the 3800 is a great choice for a man cave. If your walls are light colored, I would suggest using a grey screen to improve contrast over a white screen at the cost of some peak brightness but this projector is BRIGHT.
The problem with epson is that if at least they use optical audio or coaxial then I'll buy it in a heartbeat they only use the audio jack similar to the headphones! Same thing goes with Viewsonic!
True that is annoying but if you are looking for that type of output and you have a receiver why not use hdmi? Agreed the old “computer speaker” audio out isnt good anymore.
I agree with you. I ended up having to buy an HDMI audio extractor to be able to get optical audio to my old logitech 5.1 speakers. Still amazing speakers but no HDMI.

Great animations dude, nice. And that is some set of hair, congrats.
I’m getting this thing next week. Stoked
Great video animation when talking of the vertical and horizontal features of the projector!
I wish that with all the production you put into this video, you had a better mic!!!! Lmao!
between the Optoma UHD38 and the Epson EH-TW700, or Viewsonicpx748 - px728which one would you choose?
Well...on my way to Best Buy to pick mine up. Thanks for convincing me!
Does not seem to be available anymore. Can you recommend a current model that would be a direct replacement or equivalent to this model ?
How are the black levels? Have you compared it to any other ones?

How is it with the black level??
Great vid, just wondering if this is better than the 5050 ub for a man cave set up?

5050ub is waaaaaay better but its a lot more money
As it does not support 2160p/24, will that be a problem for UHD Bluray disc playback specially movies ?
Blu-Ray is 1080P
What do you think of the epson 3200 version compared to this?
The only difference is one come with speakers and one don't
@@MrPolinchhay There are more differences than that. It's not as bright and it's contrast ratio is significantly less
I have the 3200 how do you freeze the screen

Use HDMI and make it the monitor at the end of the line. Who needs audio out from a PJ?
No offense but go big or go home.

I agree with Joe B I bailed and went somewhere else.
I have the Epson 4010
Great projector review THAT DOESN'T SHOW WHAT THE PICTURE COULD LOOK LIKE?? Totally worth my 8 minutes.....
Is the 3800 plug and play? I cant get my 3800 to show image from my Sony 4k player. Help.
It is plug and play! But there are sometimes issues with cables? That would be my first place to try to troubleshoot!
Source HDMI 1. Then HDMI 2
Would u Recommend the 3800 projector for controled room light
And How is it with the black level
They say it looks grey
For the same money...please research the BenQ HT3550. it has a 10-Element 8-Group All Glass Lens where the Epson Lens is Plastic
@@oldschoolbluesplayer5319 contrast is bad for benq.
It doesn't connect to Bluetooth without a cordless LAN
How is this 3800 compare to 4010?
Does any one know the difference?
I am looking at these two right now... 3800 had HDMI 2.0 and is brighter.
Both have Plastic Lens....the BenQ HT3550 has a 10-Element 8-Group All Glass Lens
@@oldschoolbluesplayer5319 WRONG! Epson has a glass lens and blew away the Beni Hanna in projector shootouts. lmao!
not a great review

Tall " LACK OF TECHIE...."
You sir, have no idea what you're saying...
Why is your audio in this video so bad?
