    4010 vs. 3800? Primary concern for me is the lack of 18Gb/s HDMI on the 4010 which is present on the 3800.

    • @DivineAV
      @DivineAV  4 года назад +3

      Yeah because the 3800 is newer. When new version of the 4010 comes out it will once again take the higher position. I would take the 3800 because of price and 60 hertz as well. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to get the best pricing on one of these units. Thanks divineavinc@gmail

    I don't see $1,000 worth of difference...especially as the 3800 is $1300! And the 5050 is still at the regular price of $3000! That is a $1700 difference in 2022!

    • @DivineAV
      @DivineAV  4 года назад +2

      Yeah, we tried that but unfortunately the light from one projector bleeds to the next so that's a really bad way of doing it. Don't worry we have a very cool plan for a future video. Stay tuned. Also check out our TV vs projector because that one is side-by-side essentially since bleed over is not an issue

    Hi, in the 3800, in the advance menus , could you have adjusted the gamma settings (just a little) to intensify the black levels, and perhaps pair it with a .85 gain gray screen?
    I’ve done that, and it really changed the game for contrast and black levels, in addition to super resolution and image enhancement preset (3).

      Mark-did u tweak the gamma settings from 0 to -1, or just the custom, setting? I'm figuring out how to accurately do the latter if u could advise. Thanks!

    Hello!
    Can you tell me the maximum distance throws on these two projectors? We are replacing a DLP projector in a church. The distance from the projector to the screen is 60 ft. (18.28 m). The image size is 14 fl. (4.2672 m) in a high ambient environment.

    • @DivineAV

      They aren’t bright enough for those specs. I’d recommend a commercial projector with 8000 plus lumens. An ALR screen would be nice. Feel free to reach out. We will help you get the best unit and pricing.

    3:14 question is: are those overexposed areas on a man's forehead actual output of the 3800 or the capturing camera exposure was set in such a way that it got overexposed? Cause the same scene on the 4050 4:14 is pretty dark to the point that there is a loss in a shadow detail (don't confuse with black level).

      The 4050 only supports 30 hz in 4k HDR, the 3800 is a newer model and actually supports 4k 60hz. That being said we'd recommend the 3800 if it's specifically for gaming purposes due to that faster refresh rate. Love the video I do have a question for you I own a epson home cinema 1060 and want to hook up a speaker how would I do that ? Hopefully you respond!

    • @DivineAV
      @DivineAV  4 года назад +1

      You need an AV receiver. Basically you hook up your source such as a Roku, Apple TV, Blu-ray player, DVD player, PC Etc to one of the inputs on the receiver using an HDMI cable and then you run another HDMI cable out of the monitor out on the receiver to HDMI 1 input on the home Cinema 1060. Speakers connect to the receiver and that's how you get sound off of your source.
      If you're trying to do a portable setup, you could plug your content source into an audio extractor www.amazon.com/dp/B074HHSJVN/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_gGbGEbKX5H908
      And then take a 3.5mm male/Male cable and plug it into a powered speaker with a line input jack.
      Make sure your Source such as Roku, Apple TV etc has the audio settings set to PCM.

    @Divine AV home theater Do you know if the Epson projectors have the same issue of 3-4 inches light bar around edges of the image like Optoma UHD50's models?

    • @DivineAV
      @DivineAV  4 года назад +1

      So that's caused by poor contrast. Optoma projectors are not very good overall in my opinion but especially in the contrast range. You will see that a bit on the 3800 and less on the 4050. The higher you go in contrast the less you're going to see that. I would recommend the 6050 or something like the Sony 295 ES to almost to the eliminate that all together. Feel free to reach out if you need any products and we will get you the absolute best price and free shipping. Thanks so much for watching my friend and I appreciate the support.

    What screen size did you perform your tests on? Is there ideal projection screen size for the epson 3800?

    • @skopa1223
      @skopa1223 Год назад

      The smaller the screen (say 77”), the closer the projector and tighter focused the light.
      So brighter results.
      I’d say that if you stay under a 110” screen (aprox), you’d be able to deal with a descent amount of ambient light in the room.
      150” screen and up and you’ll want it in a darker environment.
      So sweet spot for using it in dark as well as with some lights on with a reasonable size screen is probably a screen between 90” to 120”. That’s if you want to be able to have some ambient light on in the room, when you feel like it.
      But yeah, you could go with a 200” inch screen but the room would have to be lights off.

    • @randyelise
      @randyelise Год назад +1

      I have the 3800 as a portable outdoor setup with a 120” elite screen and it’s Fantastic! Everyone who comes over says it looks as good as their 77” 4k lcd screen but this is 120”! Very bright and super crisp. It was the sweet spot for me. I think best performance at this price point. I’m picky too…I have 3 OLED TV’s, one an 83”. They are obviously better but this is no slouch by 😊any means.
