But if you can setup one definitely that 100+ inch screen experience is amazing. I watch some nice action movies on it and the experience is immersive. totally worth the investment.
Projectors as a piece of technology go unnoticed especially in Indian Households. Tech influencers could actually play a significant role in making them common among people. What amazes me is that no mainstream tech influencers in India actually talked about it. Thank you Beebom, for covering this space as well.
We had projectors in the classrooms when I was in school, but there are several drawbacks to using a projector when making a purchase decision. To ensure an optimal viewing experience, it's necessary to have a completely dark room for the projector. If someone stands between the projection and the screen, their shadow can hinder the viewing quality. You can't simply place a projector in your living room for everyday viewing. While projectors offer the advantage of large screens, they require specific conditions. You need a dedicated dark room in your house exclusively for the projector. Considering Indian households, this may not be feasible for most, which is why TVs are more commonly preferred over projectors.
Projectors have lots of cons, too. When u want to use it in our normal Indian house. 1. U need a dedicated room to use a projector with air conditioning (this is a must for a projector) 2. The viewing quality will differ based on everyone's perception. Some may think great some may think not good. 3. Finally, setting up a projector means you r going to make connections with lot of wires
I really wanted to do setup for my home and was completely unaware of price or specs which will be best suited, but after this video I am 100% clear. All thanks to you great work thanks brother
Pretty impressive. This makes more sense than just buying a TV with 25K. This is great use case for bedrooms and guest rooms where you will more or less use the setup during the bedtimes.

You don't get a TV replacement for that price. Even 720p projector capable of doing that would cost 50-60k atleast. And even then you'd need to have curtains drawn in.
@@JustOneMoreThing For users like me, who watches their tv occassionally like couple times a week I don't think are gonna have any problem with drawing the curtains and plus it provides a bigger screen and better audio, which makes it more immersive
@@JustOneMoreThing the wall on which you project the image needs to be dark, rest of the room can be well lit. Epson and BENQ make powerful projector, stay away from cheap chini projector.
Sounds good for the setup but it could be better with respect to the budget Here are my considerations: Projectors give almost the same cinematic experience when paired with a good bright screen and a good hometheater system. As we are talking the budget build, I have something on for people to consider. Projector(₹10,000): EGate i9 pro max or Wzatco Yuva Plus as they are just under 10k and doesn't boast about inbuilt android which isn't needed. Streaming device(₹4,000): Fire stick 4k Max or equivalent. Screen(₹2000-₹8000 depending on the size, mounting and features): Anything that can bounce the light good should do. Sound system(₹17,990): Sony s20R is my personal favorite. It hits the right balance between the bass and vocals thus complimenting the movie viewing experience. That is ₹34,000 with a basic screen and close to ₹40,000 for a good screen and HT setup. With OTT being the mainstream now, Building a home theater close to ₹40k is definitely worth it.
4k Max not required as the projector screen is 1080p. If u can buy Sony audio for 18K, then better invest 35K in projector and 5K in a decent small soundbar, as the visual experience will takeover everything else for a projector.
In my opinion a 4K tv would be better. The size of the tv is something you would have to compromise. But the contrast of the colours and most importantly the black parts. In most 4k TVs the blacks would be much better since the LED in that zone will switch off giving a more darker black. Whereas in a projector the black parts will still have some light and it would more like grey than black because the projector light comes from a single lamp. Also its a 1080p projector. But if you are willing to go up to 50k then you can get a diffraction screen for the projector as well a better projector. So yeah I think for now 4k TV is better option coz it has more pros than cons. What do you think?
Projector is good to show dark scenes, else how would you watch movies in theaters? Come out of that misconception. Put money in well known brands like BENQ, Epson, Optoma and get the amazing experience. I have not seen a 100+inch TV so the argument ends there.
I think you guys should continue with this to a new level, dare I say midrange ish 50k setup including everything . Say a user wants 4K decent option. Till then keep up the good work.
Just the video I needed , I have been planning to buy a projector for my home for a year now . Its not common in India ,so I wasn't able to get a particular answer for the projector , I have a speaker system already . But I'm not really into the idea of buying a projector screen ;simply cause of its massive price (7000 for white plastic cloth is a lot ) . And the projector you mentioned ,I'm not so sure about it. Its the most BOUGHT projector , not sure if its the best projector in that budget . Comparisons of other projectors at that price would've been much better.

If you care about picture quality, then do not consider projectors. It is no match for a TV. There are way too many drawbacks. You will need to have complete dark room setup, otherwise, the colors will look washed out and brightness is significantly less. Even with dark room setup, you will not see the vibrancy of colors like the way you see on TVs. Also, projector lamps get very hot so not suitable for 5-6 hours continuous streaming on OTTs. If you consume lot of OTT contents, then there is a high chance of lamp burnouts. The only advantage is the bigger screen but believe me you will not enjoy it for everyday viewing because the quality of the picture is nowhere near.
