    I've always wondered why they call chuck roast the "poor man's brisket." It's usually more expensive, per lb, than brisket. A 12 lb brisket, unless you're taking it to a church dinner or family gathering, is a lot of meat if there's only a couple of people in your house. As always, enjoyed the video.

      Yeah, I think prices vary around the country as to which one is cheaper, but yeah a brisket is way too much meat for just two people, a Chuck works out pretty good for us.

    Didnt watch the video. Skipped to the end. Ask your butcher to give you the eye of the chuck roll(aka the 1st 4-6" off the roll) thank me later

      I smoked a chuck venison roast and injected it with butter, fresh garlic, black pepper, pink Himalayan salt, and olive garden dressing. It was the best "wild-game" brisket I have ever had. I eat venison almost 95% percent of the time these days because I have so much in tbe freezer. With beef prices the way they are....I really haven't eaten any beef in over 4 years. I process all my own deer meat which includes making Sumner sausage, deer bologna, ground with 25% percent beef fat that I get for free at a processing plant. Save a ton of money eating deer meat and I know what is going into it. My bologna is sought by all my freinds and buddies.
