2:00 - That's how the doors were when they were new on the Camaros and Trans ams of that gen. The early 70s Monte Carlos were well known to have the doors fall off. A friend of mine had it happen to him while he was driving it. Right after he fixed that the brakes failed. I fixed both. Junk. It's good to see how much cars have improved over the years. Still....I'd rather have the classic.
Great points...the early Monte Carlos used the Chevelle's door hardware, but was a longer door - too heavy! Oops. They must have fixed that on the 73 and later Cutlass, Regal, etc...They are really solid on my 74 Buick GS.

You must have grown up in a wealthy neighborhood ! We used Chuck Taylor's to get to school. 1 GIRL had a black 69 Camaro with flames. Gift from daddy. Did she ever get the looks !
my HS was filled with Pintos, Vegas, Gremlins, some crappy pickups. There were maybe 3 or 4 muslecars around that came and went as they were destroyed by the young inexperienced drivers....! The nices ones totaled at my school - 69 Firebird 400 and a 69 SuperBee 383 4 speed. Later a buddy totalled 70 Buick GS455 - and he also did in a 69 442 4 speed 2 years later (that was a true W30 car with original engine gone and a 455 installed). Too Much Beer and Hubris, and that 442 shouldn't have had that steering wheel knob on it to spin donuts so easily....

The front unibody frame rail was taken off during restoration. Making it a frame off restoration
Pontiac ruined the T/A in 1979 when they put that ugly “Toranado” / Edsel front end on it, complete styling disaster

Than why is 1979 one of the most desired years?
I can't watch these anymore. Some witch totaled my car while parked in front of my house, so now my stash for a toy has to go to a new daily. Sucks.

@@l-ringer3050 90% of our cars we buy from private parties. We get people calling all the time with cars to sell. We will also go to an auction once in a while

You mean "Frame ON ?" Frame on is the short-cutted resto. Frame off is the intense resto where frame is separated from body and everything done correctly.
