Marsha Johnson didn't get to the village until 2 AM when the rioting was dying down and had to be told what was going on. Later when Sylvia Rivera started taking credit for starting the riot Johnson said, "You weren't even there than night, you were still uptown." and made Rivera admitted.

    • @maxisussex
      @maxisussex 2 года назад +1

Rumour has it she was strung out on heroin at the time. I did hear an interview with Sylvia though where she said, "Some people say I threw the first brick, it's not true, I threw the second". Which is her basically saying she didn't start it. The majority of people there that night were white men, as documented by photos of the night. Sadly, they are being erased in favour of "trans people of colour".

What about Storme DeLarverie? The biracial lesbian drag king who punched a cop a knocked him out? A lot of early accounts describe her throwing the first punch at the cops. Marsha P. Johnson said that she showed up to Stonewall after the rebellion already started. Johnson was very active in the marches after Stonewall, I give her a lot of credit. But she and Sylvia Rivera didn't start Stonewall.

I wish i could visit a place like that, feel comfortable and connected with my elders, even before we know each other. I hold back, emotionally from my family, because I find it's unpredictable, who does and does not turn out to be a racist, to be a homophobe, and I dont want to connect with someone, and be vulnerable with someone who didnt deserve that trust, it's a constant, lowgrade fear I carry with me through life, among my other anxieties. The privilege of meeting people who actually shaped the reforming social landscape for not only myself but for everybody in the community, regardless of PERSONALLY identifying with them is like a safe space to actually Learn and connect with what's past, and how to bring what should come next.

I am a gender fluid person who often is seen as gay/lesbian. I don’t bother to try to correct these folks .. ~ I just go my way. - In the mid 1980’s, I was going through my divorce ( first marriage ) and the gay community were my source of encouragement & support. They always had kind words for me, and powerful uplifting things to say to me as I was literally crashing & burning from this terrible divorce I was going through. ~ My dear straight friends couldn’t care less for the most part. ~ It is my sincere heartfelt gratitude , to say, I made it to old age, and some of my beautiful angels like Bob Christian & Keith Haring, Andy Warhol & so many others, did not. ~ To tell the truth, my gay friends never asked about my sexual preferences .. they respected me & my odd looks & ways, they did not judge me or attack me. I felt totally included. ✨💖💞🤸🏻‍♂️ I cant say any other group did that for me. 🌈 I’m so grateful for my QUEER friends 🌈❤️🤩

Living in Plymouth UK. For many years I have been recording Pride events across Europe as a statement for diversity and being who we are. Having spent my early life being something for other people and not my self it was not easy, but I had to solve my issues for my self whilst serving in the RAF falling in love with guys I worked with and not being able to show my feelings was very hard. When I Left the RAF after being full time Mountain rescue for 5 years and VIP Driver for NATO military for 3 years I Decided to pick up where I Started by studying photo and video media, I ended up doing this for 4 years . Since then I have invested everything in my work, self financing in order to be in the right place at the right time and be outside other peoples politics. I have not had the time ore finances to be part of the social scene outside recording, where all my time and money has gone, When your on the outside looking in you see things that others don#t. It has shown me that there is still double standards in the laws politics and news at the expense of the people who are quite often set up against each other with blinkerd views. In a new world of social media which is only 20 years old at the most in 2020 it has changed things for ever. A more open society is a healthy one. Over the last 30 years it has been a privilege to record a very divers world and I thank you all.

Every single time I hear about somebody asking someone else to humble themselves, it's the person themselves actually need humbling. We have reports and interviews with both of them that confirm it. Sylvia's account is a bit more iffy than Marsha's, but she clearly stated she arrived on scene after 2 PM. Sylvia was reported to be uptown and rather joked about being the second person to throw a molotov cocktail than confirmation. It's hard to say in her case-

In the winter I process the videos and photos, I see those faces again and get a bigger picture in my head. Seeing what is happening socially. It quite often is a different more open story than what you read in the press and news and Politically and laws is out dated in the new global family. And more often than not based on double standards of behavior. After all we are all human and have feeling that go in all directions. Let's be clear, trans people had nothing to do w/ Stonewall no matter how much they try to rewrite history.

Provide a damn source for that. We were always a part of Stonewall and will always be with the queer movement.

I love what the Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders(S.A.G.E.) represents, and hope to be able to overcome my own mental health issues so that I can volunteer for my city's branch. I have a strong suspicion that if I live long enough to become elderly, I will likely be dependant on their services for support, and would love to be able to do my part before I get to there.

May it be the Holy Will of God
For this prayer to set you free from bondage 🙏✝️🕊✝️🙏
    Holy Father God
    Holy King
    Father of Creation
    Holy Breath of Life
If it be Your Holy Will:
    + I forgive everyone
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
    + Holy King
    Father of Creation
    & everyone of my life,
    Forgive me
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
    + I cancel all contracts
    which do not bring
    Honor and Glory to You,
    Holy Breath of Life,
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
+ I cancel all attacks against
(my life and the seed of my lineage)
    from my enemies,
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
+I cancel the attacks on other people's lives which came from me, which doesn’t bring
    Honor and Glory to You,
    Holy Father of Creation,
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
+ For everything which was taken from me and the seed of my lineage, from my past, present and future which I earned and/or brought Honor & Glory to You, Holy Breath of Life,
But was stripped of me or the seed of my lineage,
May it be returned in good condition , permanently,
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
+ Holy Breath of Life if it be Your Holy Will:
I permanently cancel any further contact With anyone who previously held me and the lineage of my seed against our will in our spirit
    and/ or in our flesh,
no matter how cruel or gentle they may become directly or indirectly towards me and the lineage of my seed from my past present & future, permanently.
They themselves and any other individuals directly or indirectly acting out on their behalf may not approach, tempt, stalk, harass, falsely accuse, contact, spy, set me up or the lineage of my seed, in anyway, And may not come within 10,000 ft in any direction of my soul and the souls of the lineage of my seed as long as me and my seed shall remain in existence in any place.
It would be as though the soul and flesh of my seed and I never existed to (them and theirs) Permanently, whether directly or indirectly.
    Effective immediately.
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
    + Holy Breath of Life
If it be your Holy Will,
I cancel all contracts with all spirits, souls, demons, entities
As though Me and the seed of my lineage never existed
    to those spirits,
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
Either way not my will but
    Your Holy Precious Will
    Be Done
    Above All Will
Now & For Ever & Ever
    Holy King
    Father of Creation
    Holy Breath of Life,
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
    The Glory
    The Honor
    The Power
    The Praise
    Are for you
    Holy King
    Father of Creation
    Holy Breath of Life,
through my life, through my past, present, future, through the seed of my lineage, permanently.
    In the name of Christ,
    I send this to you.
For he came to set the captives free.

I love that Sal has a cross with Jesus on it in his room. Many LGBT that are older still believe(d) in Jesus
This new generation are so lost and anti Jesus. Jesus loves all.

I want to find gay elders to befriend. OWL’s they call them. Older Wise Lesbians. I love that 💖 Thank you for having the guts to essentially “exist.” Out in the open. It’s paved the way for the younger generations to come. Made it a little easier decade by decade. For gays and lesbians to embrace their true sexuality and gender expression. We can’t thank you enough.

God bless our pioneers; they are the stone wall of our culture, our identity, we are more woke thanks to technology, we are no longer blindsided by society. We have so much to be proud of, PRIDE is something we need to wear In our identity with confidence. We have come a long way lest not forget about Hitler and how we, my people, my community, my identity were treated “medical experiments”. More then ever lest not stand divided “LGBTQ+” but United together, strong building each other up for who we are a rainbow of hope in the sky. -Jose Estrada.

You hear that Americans, and Humanity as a whole...."You have to FIGHT for Freedom. Everyday! It is not guaranteed or handed to you by anyone or Politician"
Stop waiting for people to tell you what to do! DO IT! Stop waiting for peoples Approval or Understanding, you need neither to be you and live your OWN LIFE! Facts 😉💋
