This guy either sucks or youre hiding a lot of the mods youve made on the car haha Im a 370 nismo owner and ive gapped pretty much every single 350 ive raced against whether theyre stock, or almost full bolt ons
vq37vhr only makes like 6-10hp Mod for mod AFTER the HR does cats. The cats choke the HR out hard. The newer 2017+ I think have a revised header that changes that a bit, but again you can do headers on the HR. Im full boltons, solid bushings everywhere and a Nismo GT pro clutch style LSD with 4.08 gears. It takes one hell of a 370z to pull on me. Many people go for power. and the 350z stock has a problem putting down stock power levels. you would be surprised how much better they launch with subframe incerts and solid diff bushings and the diff brace. 370z also have much heavier calipers and rotors this is all sprung mass and rotating mass.
I second what he just said. I can already tell he pushing good torque. Because I believe if you accelerate faster in (for this situation) in a 350 hr but 370 is making 20-30 more hp, depending on how far out you gap em, that little extra hp isn’t helping them to pull AND pass a faster accelerating car.
both of these sound TERRIBLE. Get a full exhaust from the headers back. High flow cats with single resonator and small muffler. These sound like a dying elephant.
It's a full Tomei other than the test pipes.. which i have ART pipes now and it sounds even better than on this video with no rasp. The sound of the Tomei isn't for everyone. I personally like it.
I honestly just wish that Z community would stop bashing the short ram intakes. They arnt bad and they don’t heat soak unless you sitting in hot weather with the a/c on. And the silicone inlets you can combo with jwt short ram greatly reduces heat soak. I know because I have them on my car. AND BEAT bolt on and tuned 370! Everyone go for the CAI for the hp on the dyno. While some people are figuring out, short ram increases your low end and mid range torque.
Short ram intakes are proven to be shit for all vq housed vehicles. You want intakes that reach the front of your radiator for true gains and actual cooling. I’ve went through short rams and fabricated long arm with k&n filters and the difference was clear as day. I couldn’t tell the difference from my short rams and my stock intakes with high air flow filters lmao
@@dominorg16 It made power on mine especially low end torque. 🤷 I’m happy with the results! If I switch, I’ll gain top end but lose a bit of low end torque. If it was so bad how you explain, I would have been switched. Apparently , the guys that dyno tuned my car, found out how to squeeze low end torque as a benefit. Not a liability mod. In fact, I modified both my stock air inlets and it directs the same air from the bumper straight to the short ram filters. It’s a variable that is noticeable when the car is actually accelerating in motion experiencing that air flow. I just laugh to myself when other VQ guys bash me just like the comment section here but they still can’t figure out how I get out so fast in races and that top end advantage they have can’t help them reel me back in or pass me. 😢🤣
As a 350z owner, I gotta say this video made my heart smile
