I'm new but I like the table this way. I feel like it leads to that opening with pretty mirror/table/plant area and the two bookcases balance everything. And more room to walk and scoot chairs around is always my preference.
I do not have a cricket though I have had that constant itch for one. I ended up purchasing a small projector for half the cost of a cricket and I'm able to use it on cookies and cakes and to make signs etc.. that's always an option plus an added bonus is taking it outside in the fall for my kids to enjoy movies in the backyard!
I love this! I need to use my buffet for this too instead of keeping my decor up during the holidays, I could keep my apple cider and appetizers on there for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

New sub here! I know this video is almost a year old, but it popped up. 😁 I got my Silhouette Cameo in 2014 and a Cricut Joy last March. Both have more than paid for themselves in both gifts and items I've sold! I am an artist and can do things by hand, but sometimes it's just easier with the machine. I also can do a lot of the designing with the Silhouette (software is awesome).
Your table being centered and facing the hall is a wonderful aesthetic, a more expansive look, and allows the bonus of another furniture piece to decorate. You have done an amazing job of transforming your spaces. The table scape is spectacular; the burlap waterfall of autumnal leaves included!
This is all so gorgeous! Just a Design/Decor FYI, orange and blue are actually complementary colors! (Which means they are opposite each other on the color wheel) Blue with a pop of orange is actually stunning, or vice versa! Next time use the chairs, they are lovely!

Lauren just fantastic. Love your wonderful decorations and your easy and friendly style. Usually I mix some silk or plastic foliage with real ahorn and oak leaves. Oak leaves stay green for up to two months and then turn a lovely rusty color. I also make wreaths from our oak trees for the door or to place on the table with a candle. Am a bit puzzled about the post-it notes for such a small party. It's not that hard to retain or tell :) But I'll keep it in mind for bigger parties! You are very good at this and everything turned out gorgeous. But yeah, I would have taken the plastic covers off the hay. Really like, that nothing goes to waste, as you said.

Martha Stewart has help - tons of slaves working for her, and have no children (yeah, one adult child). This girl has a FT job, children, and did everything on her own! Amazing!
I have the Cricut Maker and very difficult to use with size. I can download and upload the designs but when comes time to size them no luck I belong to the club which I pay $11.00 monthly and useless. My Daughter, Granddaughter and myself are having a friend to come over and help us out sure need it. I have made a very few things on it and had so many ideas that hasn't planned out. The first Cricut was so simple to use I used it in scrapbooking and made the most beautiful designs with the diecuts it used. Make sure you are computer savvy before this major purchase of machine and vinyls plus extras
Chili making music!! Here in SE Texas we have some awesome barbecue places! I have done this before with our own smoked brisket. Our favorite barbecue place is down the road. I see chili in the very very near future!

I’m a silhouette cameo user, and my opinion is that if your not going to use it to make your self stuff and to sell things on the side then it’s not worth it. A have 4 girl friends who have bought machines after seeing what I do with mine and not one of them even use it anymore. However for me, I use mine for so many thing for myself but I also sell things on the side even more.
