Hey buddy! It was great spending some time with you at Origins! And this video is priceless - you had Nancy and me laughing out loud at some of your comments. Really well done. Thanks!
Thanks for this. I was volunteering at a booth and couldn't remember which both had a great deal on some stuff. Found it by watching this before heading in this year.
4:00 More accurately about Witchborn was "theoretically located next to us, but only intermittently appeared throughout the weekend"
Once upon a time, in a different life, I never missed this con.
11:00 I took a deeper look at City Builder Ancient World on Sunday morning, and while the gameplay isn't bad, the overly-tiny mosaic tile pattern they used on all the city tiles ended up waaaaaaaay too busy easy visual recognition during gameplay. It might be a fine game. It might work with 3-in tiles. It did *not* work with that specific art on 1-1/2 in tiles, no matter how thematic they want to try to convince themselves it is.
Thank you for this walkthrough. This year is going to be our first year vending at Origins and this video gave us a really good idea of what we can expect.
Glad it was helpful!
Great walkaround! This video came up among my recommendations, and I'm happy it did. I could tell early-ish on that you must be a wargamer, as you almost seemed to light up when you'd walk by a booth with hex and counter stuff. lol
Welcome aboard!
I now feel like I was there, thanks:) Now get some sleep!
46:00 the hexagonal tiles are the command tiles for the Polyversal game. They track the C2 relationships among your units so you know who's in each battlegroup on the map and there's collective actions they can take/share when they're in good C2 standing w/ each other.
Great walk through! Thank you for making it!
"RUclipsr goes on killing spree with strange 'd100' metal sphere. Film at 11..."
I attended the first Origins. Thanks for the return visit! Good job!
thanks looks like fun
"Definitely looks like fun, and more fun with alcohol" 😄 Thanks for the walk through, I couldn't make it down and now I too, feel like I was there! (Smell like your RPG character booth) "I am unconvinced that this is a brilliant marketing angle" 😄
Lol ... I thought you called that one game Shadows of Estrogen ... 😉
That's what I always called it
Thanks for doing this. For logistical reasons I chose WBC over Origins this year. Seems like there were a lot of people selling dice...
There were a LOT of dice companies this year. About 30-50% more than normal.
I'm in the US for three weeks with the worst internet access you can imagine, but I finally have my physical copy of Third World War in my hands, and I'm looking forward to hearing your views on it when I can eventually get enough bandwidth to watch videos again.
Almost like I was there!
Thanks for the walkthrough Gary, but I could have skipped this vendor’s hall (a bizarre bazaar) and not really have missed much at all. Sigh.
Was renegade games there with a booth to showcase relaunch of axis and allies.?
They were not, unfortunately.
They had said back at the Expo that they were targeting GenCon and that was less about the whole "WW1 started in August" thing than "that's when the shipment is due in"
Forteller does audio narration for board games. Mostly Dungeon Crawler and Adventure narrative games.
So I wish I would have went just for the Studio 2 booth. I order from them and I would like to see some of the stuff they actually have in person so I could see what to ad to our inventory.
I like the idea of Dragon Dice and I'll leave it at that :)..
I own a spray gunner air brush compressor at 39:00 min in! :)
Japanime Games the only dealer I recognized, other than Decision. First met the Japanime folks at Megacon, in Orlando. What caught my attention was their Barbarossa deck building card game. How could you NOT like a game about girls who aren't wearing pants, invading Russia??? 🤣🤣🤣
I grant that this was indeed attention-grabbing.
@@ardwulfslair 😳 Indeed.
What would it take to get you to spend more time on this walk-through next year ?
More time and a better camera rig.
I have all of the Skyrim Adventure Game stuff. Good game. Not great game. If you're into Skyrim it's probably of interest. It can get pretty long depending on how much fun you are having running side quests, but you better do them and get leveled up to the max because the final scenario battles are tough. Worth a play for sure. Worth buying? Different question :).
Nothing for your wife this year? Last year you specifically called out a purchase for her
I did get something... but I'd have spoiled it if she'd watched the video!
Wow! This is so incredibly pointless.
