Best wheels on the market tbh. The best grip designs ive ever felt. Ive tried around 100 wheels and ive never felt so attatched to a wheel before. Cant wait to own one when my invicta wheelbase shows up 😉
All I know is they have the best f1 wheel on the market. Imo it even edges out pretty much the real deal from simlabs for the f1 Mercedes wheel 😉 I think bavarian and gsi v2 models are the best wheels on the market. The gxl v2 deels similiar to the alpha tbh in grips ergonomics. People go oh its not as big as the v1 with grips. Sure but the v1 were the largest grips of any wheel on the market. Still to this day! The v2 is perfect sized grips. Alpha may be a little bigger which makes it the second largest on the market and I would say the v2 gxl is the 3rd. Both perfect sized grips. My favorite wheel personally is the gsi gxl v2 followed by the omega pro then the alpha even if the alpha may be best ergonomically.
BST is a boutique wheel brand. So, when they speak of "entry-level", it's upper mid-range at the very least for a mass market brand. That context should be made clear.
Counter argument from a different actual engineer - My guess is that there is lot of development and manufacturing cost in these wheels given the low production volume and high expectations from customers. As with most high-end simracing wheels it is a niche product and I would suspect a healthy margin has to be added for it to be a worthwhile business. As with most top-end products there is diminishing returns: You will get 90% of the functionality from Fanatec, Moza and Thrustmaster etc. at half the cost - but you woun't get the polish, highend materials, wow-factor or customer service that these brands often provide.
Sorry but I still cannot take seriously any company that speaks about something they call "entry level" or "cheaper product" and costs almost 1000€... I take these kind of things as a bad joke and I never pay any further attention on them.
You do know different companies cater to different audiences? And sometimes, if you find the downside of a product is price, it’s not the downside of the product, it’s yours.
They said there entry level! When they say entry level its there entry level due to being there lowest price wheel and if you used it you would get it lol. But it is far from entry level. Its insane quality.
I just ordered the Alpha yesterday. Now for the agonising wait...

@@kelvinlolo9612 Bro, you're the MAN! Thanks.
simhub messes with my moza kit, and my vr hmd usb connection. had to uninstall it.
Insane price for this hardware, coming from an actual enigneer. Same for "digital dashboards"

Yeah, idk if I'd consider 1k entry level... but it is nice
My thoughts as well. As soon as I heard that and the price I stopped watching.

I think that alpha logo might infringe Sony's trademark
Thats just a greek letter? I don't think anyone can own that 😅 -Michel
Which one do you find is better : steering with screen or steering with separate screen ?
I prefer Ascher Wheels.
Does overtake have any journalistic principles or is it just PR?
This is a news piece from the expo, not a review. To show what is available in general. Sorry to hear that you are unhappy with it. - Rene
