- A twenty-minute walk up the Marianne River in Blanchisseuse brings you to 3 Pools a thrilling river adventure. As its name suggests, this river destination features 3 deep basins that were formed as the river plunged across a plateau over a steep rock shelf.
The hike to the pools is rated 2 (out of 5, 5 being the hardest) so it is suitable for all ages. The first pool features shallower waters and is ideal for wading and non-swimmers. Between the first and second pools one finds a naturally formed water-slide that adds a great fun element.
The 3rd pool is where the adventurous finds the greatest enjoyment. One can climb the nearby rocks and jump 15 feet in the pool below.
A visit to 3 Pools can be combined with a hike to the nearby Avocat Waterfall. You can either begin at the waterfall and following the river to the pools or first going to the pools and then continuing up river to the waterfall.

This was soooo relaxing. Would go just for the nature walk. Pictures don't do justice , Can almost feel the serenity. Would not venture during rainy season though .
I am so jealous I wish I was there I have live in the states since I was 13 years old.

Dear goodness stop littering bring your garbage home!!!!! I hope and pray in December I can do this hike with my Trini friend. I have been to the river and bridge many times but never been to the pools..bucket list to get to the first pool that is good enough for me! Thank you Alan and Jono, great tips and made me miss Trini less and reminded me of my last time I ate cocoa while on a hike!

Marianne beach is very beautiful. We had to bathe in the river though. The water was inviting but it’s got a serious drop close to shoreline. Pretty scary.

Where you guys at crown point? Pretty sure I saw you! Anyway, we visited Tobago for the first time last week and left a day ago, FELL IN LOVE with the island. Literally the nicest people. I almost cried when we left lol

Myself and 3 other cars had the unfortunate luck of having our vehicles broken into in this spot this weekend. Would definitely advise persons to avoid this area. Unfortunate because the pools are amazing but I dont think I will ever return.
Thats very unfortunate to hear no doubt. The sad reality is that many spots like this in Trinidad 🇹🇹 have the potential of this happening. I have been broken into a few times growing up at different beaches and waterfalls.
But its just a risk that someone decides to take when we head out on these adventures.
