I have the same problem the reservoir is full and just out of the blue I had problems getting it in gear had to smash it to the floor to get it in I hope it’s not a problem with the clutch itself
Easy process there are other videos from other people that show how to do it... If you can't push the metal bar over then use a flat head to pry it over... Just watch one of the other video. Hope it helps
the grommet on the line It keep losing my line when I build up pressure on my clutch do u think I need a new line or is it not locking the black grommet keep popping what can I be doing wrong I replace a new grommet and it did the same thing on the old one what to do it a 93 wrangler 2.5
I have a 93 yj I just bought. the guy put a new slave cylinder recently. the problem im having is my clutch feels like there is hardly not pressure.. its extremely unstiff. My problem is going into 1st and 2nd gear. I pump it a few times and sometimes it goes into 1st no problem.. and 2nd seems to grind at times going in... 3rd and up is fine. Im sure its not a trans issue. do you think it may just have a lot of air trapped in it? did you have the same shifting problem since you clutch was soft?
ReaperTriple6Ko. Your slave cylinder is much easier to replace on a 1995 yj. Its located right next to the transmission case bolted with 2 bolts. I have a 1991 yj my slave cyl is inside the trans case . They have loosen the trans and slide it back to get to the slave . Its a big job . Its sucks .
@@GiovaniB52 crap. I have a 91 YJ. My clutch is completely not catching any gears. It’s very soft. Do you think I just need to bleed it? I’m very not down to have to open up the transmission. I own 0 tools and just baught my Jeep. I’m excited to learn but boy I feel like I just jumped into the deep end.
Did you check t and make sure that the linkage from the transmission is connected to the shifter. sometimes it will partially or completely pop loose..
My xj did this I bleed it several times it worked the first few times then I couldn't leave it in gear with clutch in or it would start to drive my master cylinder went bad
This stupid piece of shit design requires you to remove the driveshafts, the skid plate, the transmission and transfer case to replace the slave cylinder. Its a plastic unit and it fits over the input shaft of the transmission. I think 89 to 93 YJ's are like this. Later ones can be replaced without removing the transmission. This is the 3rd time in 9 years I had to replace it.
Yeah I bled the line and it fixed the problem
Having same issue right now, I will do the same
thanks a lot it really helped me a lot great video
Ronald what type of ammo are you using
Can you post a quick video on which nut to loosen to bleed it out

muchas gracias por tu video
how do you take the lid off of the master cylinder reservoir?

Yeah it worked.. if it doesn't work for you, your just gonna have to replace it.

Anyone know where to find a replacement or have a part no#
I have a 93' and it starts but when i put the clutch down and shift gears, no matter what gear i am in it is pretty much in neutral...... ideas?

also the para ordance video was cool but it keeps jamming after three rounds any thoughts ??
ronald smith are you using reloads or ammo with aluminum casing
My xj did this I bleed it several times it worked the first few times then I couldn't leave it in gear with clutch in or it would start to drive my master cylinder went bad
Nice just changing the master cylinder worked? Or did you have to change the slave also?
This is our problem I hope
you say open it up?? what is it your refereeing to??
I point at it in the video its the fitting that you need to loosen to bleed the air out of the line.
my clutch is so bad it doesn't catch gears anymore hoping to fix this right now
Chazz Crowchild you should still be able to hit that sweet spot with the Rpm and just shift it into gear without using the clutch
lawD0G54 how ?
Alfonso Maldonado did to make sure it's not your transmission linkage that came off
Did it work?
