Always admired your skill at showing the elegance of a Japanese garden. The rocks, arranged by both the gardeners and the times are the icing on the cake for this episode.
The specifications for RUclips submissions have changed, and perhaps English subtitles are not being displayed. If not, you can turn on the English subtitle function. I will ask RUclips to improve this English subtitle as soon as possible.
Often the CC is not automatically turned on. And occasionally it will start as Japanese and require one to click the translate button. It has not been a problem for me for several months, but new people might not be aware.
So touching, scenery, music, filming 🎥 will watch this several times in future to calm down. 🙏 I would appreciate more videos with untypical gardens like this one.
Beautiful garden! The stones are amazing, like a small mountain range! I would love to see more videos like this. It's interesting learning about an individual garden's story!
I’ve been living in this suburban environment all my life. It’s hard to imagine such beauty. I even went camping for a week and I could hear the sound of the freeway from my trailer. I want to hear but water.
This garden feels "Western" to my Canadian eye. It feels very vertical and compact almost like an imaginary city with tall buildings. It must have been very advanced and sophisticated when created 500! years ago.
I know of a book written in English by Samuel Newsom. An American who became fond of the Japanese Garden after the Wars. He visited the country in the 40s, and wrote a book (perhaps 2? many titles almost the same) with many photos and illustrations, mostly around Kyoto. It would be interesting if you found a copy and were able to visit some of those gardens. To compare the photos 75 years later.

Such a beautiful garden, the rocks and trees makes it sacred. A place of peace and relaxation. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Beautiful garden and beautiful work capturing it.

Beautiful and peaceful. You could see how a man surrounded by war and conflict, like the Shogun, would find solace here.
