So far she mourning her son loss but not to the point of despair portrayed in the book. So my guess is that eventually maybe she will go mad because of visions/dreams that she cannot escape. It would be somewhat similar to Alia Atreides from Dune.

      Dreamfyre was princess Rhaena's mount before she was Helaena. Rhaena was their.. great aunt? if Jaehaerys was Aegon, Alysanne was Rhaenys then Rhaena would have been Visenya. Rhaena was the rightful heir to the throne but she's sick of it and gave it to Jaehaerys instead. So anyway, Rhaena was very much like Helaena when she was a kid but upon bonding with Dreamfyre she entered her Visenya era, which I wondered why Helaena is still so meek after bonding. Is it because she's predominantly raised by non-Targaryens? Targaryen by themselves are pretty cool with women, as no matter the gender, they can still ride dragons (like Targs women pre-Dance are badass as hell). It's only after merging with Westerosi culture that they started being misogynistic. I wonder if that's how Helaena never reached her full potential as a dragonrider like say, Rhaenyra, Rhaenys or Laena.

    13:09 I don’t think she has a fear of heights to an extent that she wouldn’t ride Dreamfyre, and refuse contact with her. The bond between rider and dragon is so magical and in despite the blood and nightmares - pure, that it seems impossible that the sweet and sensitive Halaena (whom we know to love all living beings, especially winged creatures) would refuse to bond with the beast. I think she didn’t attend the lessons in the pit due to everyone around her knowing she was different, especially Alicent. Perhaps she bonded with Dreamfyre and rode her on her own terms - by pure sensitivity and intuition.

    “beware the beast beneath the boards” to me also meant the precipice they all stood on regarding what was about to happen: aegon becoming king - or, more broadly, aegon becoming king which deeply angered the targaryen side of the family, and thus, let loose the “beast” (of war) (but also of the targaryens, which symbolized “the dragon”, or rather, the beast). i like to think it was a double meaning: beware aegon (for he is a beast), and beware the horrors that him becoming king will unleash.

    • @FeyFire
      @FeyFire  28 дней назад +3

      We do not have any information on how long an egg must incubate before hatching. Illyrio states that the long years had turned the eggs to stone. Dany's eggs were a miracle, an exception to the rule, otherwise many people would have hatched eggs over the years. Meraxes died at least 25-30 years prior to Dreamfyre hatching, so I just don't see her coming from a very old egg.
      Visenya struggled to get pregnant, which is why there are rumors of magical intervention to get pregnant with Maegor. Perhaps similar to what is pictured in the tapestries. But even when Laena was her rider, who had given birth to twins, Vhagar was not recorded as laying eggs, though Syrax was. Vhagar is a warrior dragon, like her riders are warriors. Not a mother dragon, like Dreamfyre. And Balerion. Lol

      @@FeyFire Viseyna did not 'struggle' - people were whispering she is infertile, but her not becoming pregnant could be result of Aegon not sleeping with her, or - more likely - it was result of Aegon's having fertility problems himself. Queen Rhaenys also gave birth to only one child, and people were even talking that Aenys might not be even Aegon's. Anyway, Visenya having only one son is not indicator of Vhagar having problems. Dragons are connected to riders, but they are separate beings. Sinc Vhagar was considered female, that suggest she did lay eggs, at least one time in her life.
      'Vhagar is a warrior dragon, like her riders are warriors. Not a mother dragon' - Those things are not exclusive. All signs on Earrtth and water suggest she had to have clutch. Balerion was viewed as male - he NEVER laid any egg.

It would be inetersting to have stories that Balerion mates with Meraxes and one time it is Meraxes who lays eggs, and next time it is Balerion. But there is NOTHING in source material that would indicate that Balerion ever was consider to be female or laid eggs. And there is asbolutely nothing that would indicate Vhagar was infertile. Drogon went to the pit because he smelled the blood, not to save Dany. At least as it’s written in the book, he only flew there attracted to the smell. Aegon and Sunfyre are the only ones who have a bond that strong- it was written when Aegon was nearly killed, sunfyre flew across Westeros with one wing broken to save him with an almost telepathic knowing of not only his emotion, like most bonds, but location as well.. and their bond is the only one with whole pages dedicated to it.
    Also Viserys couldn’t claim another dragon if he wanted to. A person can only bond with one dragon in their life. A dragon can have multiple riders during their life, but not the other way around

    I haven't read the books so I could be wrong (even though I have read most of the spoilers regarding the dance of the dragons), but I feel that since the show is not strictly following the books, they're going to add a twist to Helena's death. I think that they're still going to make her die by falling from the window, but perhaps because someone is going to push her, that being Aemond imo.
    Since he's basically controlling the way the greens fight the war now that Aegon is injured, he will try to gain more fighting force (and another dragon could surely be very useful), even if it means sacrificing his own sister. This way Dreamfyre will be free from her bond and will have the possibility to be claimed by someone else, maybe a dragonseed or someone close to the greens

    I think you went bot overboard with theory about Balerion laying eggs. Your own argument about Vhagar not being mother is that 'she was not recorded to lay any eggs' - but neither was Balerion. Identifying sex among dragons is matter if disputed and the whole claim about 'dragons being neither male of female' was ony unconfirmed rumor (that also have no sens from biological point of view; you cannot be 'neither'. You can be BOTH at the same time, but not 'neither'). What is however clear that dragons who lay eggs were considered to be proven as female. For example, the tale about Vermax laying eggs in North is treated skeptical among chroniclers because Vermax never laid eggs when during residing in Dragonstone, despite being at least 14, which would imply he was male. On opposite side, fact that Meraxes, Vhagar, Syrax, Dreamfyre, Moondancer, Meleys, Silverwing, Tessarion and Morning are all viewed as female, imply that at some point in their life they laid at least one egg (or possibly there was way to determine dragon sex and chroniclers were simply unaware of it). So all in-universe information we have suggest Vhagar IS known to laid egg, while Balerion is NOT. If Balerion laid egg, none ever saw this.
