Great picks. Fermata is my favourite one. I’ve got a ton of suggestions but I’m more a fusion guy. I think, in a more symphonic way, Oceanworld from the UK band Autumn should be a good start.
I just listened to some Autumn on RUclips. Yeah that is definitely something I’m really into. Aside from listening to it on RUclips it is difficult to find a copy of it without a high price tag. Great suggestion though. I will definitely be looking out for that one!
Hmm, searching into my collection, I found this one : the Australian Fantasy of Horses from Rainbow Theatre. Symphonic instrumental arrangements, check. Fusionny rhythm section, check. Multiple analog keyboards, check. A must have IMHO.
@@user-sb3xn5mu8u That one I will check out too. I did track down new copies of them on douglarsonimports.com Great place to find rare prog. Thank you for the suggestion. You dig deep friend!
My Solid Ground is a great album from 1971. I would recommend listening to the last half of the album first because the best songs are in that half and the album is kind of long.
You are listening to a lot of great 60s and 70s music in a myriad of formats which is awesome. You have made music a true companion in your life. Music can certainly act as sonic diary of what was happening in life while you were discovering a song, album, band, or even genre. Before I truly discovered prog I listened to a lot of Pye era Kinks. Classic stuff. Thanks for viewing and the comment!
Great pics Steve , Fermata I will be checking out , saw quite a few of there albums cheap on my travels and will also be checking out Goblin . I ‘ m finding myself tending more towards instrumental albums these days . Best G
@@grahamallen9393 I think you will appreciate them both. I would lean Roller a little more toward symphonic and Fermata fusion. There are plenty of passages in those albums to enjoy. Thanks for not ripping on my pronunciation of Recreation. I always appreciate your input and envy your travels abroad, but love getting updates on them.
I have all of Gentle Giant. The Power and the Glory is a great song and album. Nucleus and Dzyan I have not listened to yet. I am listen to a little Dzyan as I am writing this. Very avant garde and interesting I would say.
